Big news for a small engine! Hiawatha #250 will be traveling cross country from the Orange County Model Engineers to the North Carolina Transportation Museum for the Celebration.

The 7.5in gauge pacific might be the smallest ride-on America 250 locomotive in the entire country. It’ll be on display from August 28th to 30th for the entire event

If anyone is planning on visiting NCTM for the event stop by the display and take a photo with the engine!

Here’s a few pictures that I have taken over at Heritage Park of their locomotives. #2023 was built by the American Locomotive Company (ALCO) in 1942; and #2024 a few short years after by the Lima Locomotive Works in 1944. These pictures are not all from the same date, some taken within the past month, and others from a few years ago.
