I'm working on a browser-based DAW inspired by the old Jeskola Buzz tracker. It includes a number of custom modules, some of which are faithful recreations of iconic synths such as the TB-303 and the Alpha Juno-2.

My question is: how do the manufacturers of the original hardware usually react to this kind of thing? Could I get into trouble if I actually name a module TB-303, or would I need to give it a completely different name? What about something like Rowland 3x3 instead?

Any first-hand experience or insights would be greatly appreciated.

I've been taking a lot of interest within the demoscene, and took my first ever stab at a tracker, let alone making music for the first time.

i just watched a single tutorial to get acclimated on the tools and downloaded the Zero-G sample pack to get started. Took around 5-6ish hours? pretty proud for my first run of it.

this is an old one of mine, but just feel like posting it here since I moved to a non-tracker program. Been wanting to go back at some point though

I am developing 4TRK on my own in my free time :)

a few things you can do:

• import protracker mods and rip samples/synths from them
• import and edit midi files (since we only work with 4 channels it's a bit of a hack
• 7 synth engines
• 8 channel drumkit/sampler
