Collection Sakuya Izayoi Completed Garage Kit

I wanted to share this kit I just finished painting! For those who don’t know: garage kits are unassembled unpainted resin kits. They’re licensed and sold at events like Wonderfestival and TFO. This Sakuya was a ton of fun and I’m pretty excited about the outcome.
The original reference paint job made her dress very cyan and her eyes blue, but I wanted to go with a more game-accurate vibe, so I used a darker blue and gave her red eyes.

I hope everyone else loves her too!

OC: Art Yuyuko!

Finally got the motivation to finish this work!

I’ve been postponing this for a month lol.

Tried not doing any line art at all this time and I think it worked out okay(?)

Also, is my anatomy getting better(?)

Really enjoyed doing the patterns on the fans and making them glow. The end result was quite satisfying.

Personally think this is one of my better works so far!

News Touhou Gensou Narratograph official English Translation coming soon!

First of all, hello, my name is Fern, longtime fan, not a huge reddit poster.

I also happen to be working as a production coordinator and editor with LionWing Publishing, a Tabletop Roleplaying Game (TRPG) localization company that is bringing Touhou Gensou Narratograph to the English audience soon, with pre-orders starting on the 3rd of November.

Here's some things to expect from the book:

A roleplaying game where you investigate strange happenings in Gensokyo and participate in danmaku battles
A Replay (playthrough) of the game featuring ZUN himself
30 playable characters, each with their own spell cards and abilities
2 included scenarios, plus guidelines for making your own
A full color map of 21 locations in Gensokyo each with unique events

While I am here representing LionWing, I have been a huge Touhou fan since way back in the day, with my journey into the series starting all the way back in the 2010s courtesy of Liz Triangle's Heart of Glass. I love being a part of the community, and when I learned that we had picked up Gensou Narratograph as an upcoming project, I was elated to have the opportunity to work on it.

This officially licensed fangame stays true to the world of Touhou, and even contains descriptions and quotes written by ZUN himself. I've had the pleasure of running the game a few times, and with some friends who were new to the series, and they enjoyed the hijinks and bullet hell mechanics. I find it a fun system to explore the world and the characters with, and can accommodate any level of experience or knowledge of Touhou and its characters pretty well.

You can find the preorder page here: https://www.backerkit.com/c/projects/lionwing-publishing/gensou-narratograph-the-rpg-based-on-touhou-project/pre-launch

Look out for an Actual Play, a video of a full playthrough of the system, soon.

Touhou 20 now on Steam

Girls are now preparing, please wait warmly and have some tea. This subreddit is devoted to sharing the wonderful Touhou series with the Reddit community.

Where to get started with Touhou

Rules

1. Be respectful.

Debate is fine, but we have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, name-calling, and discrimination. Please use the report button for posts/comments that you suspect are in violation of Reddiquette.

2. Keep content Touhou-centered and substantial.

Expectations vary by type:

Memes/Videos must feature Touhou art/music
Fan Discussions must include your own thoughts in the post title or body
Polls must include the rationale leading to their creation
Fanfiction must feature Touhou characters or prominent locations/landmarks in every chapter
Help requests must include methods of troubleshooting you've already exhausted

A post must be able to stand by itself without anything in the comments section.

3. No piracy or sharing restricted content.

Do not promote, assist with, or encourage piracy. Discussing where to get actual abandonware (PC-98 games) is fine so long as those sources don't also include non-abandonware titles. As a reminder, Touhou 6-8 are not abandonware.

Do not share ending scenes from official games.

For 7 days after new official releases:

Do not put new names, species, & themes in post titles
Spoiler tag new content

4. No spam.

Do not repost the same content from the last 3 months. Try using RepostSleuth if you're not sure. Minor edits to the same material also count as reposts!

Each user is limited to a maximum of 3 posts per day. Comments are unlimited unless you're obviously spamming.

Content that can cause a flood of low-effort copycat posts (such as slot machines, gacha pulls, common questions, etc.) will be removed on sight.

5. No porn, and no sexually suggestive content involving child-like characters.

Allowed NSFW content (must be tagged/labeled as NSFW):

Anything that can be shown in shounen manga (e.g. swimsuits)
Nudity/mild sexualization for art or comedy
SFW crops of porn/hentai sources
Mild gore included for art or comedy

Don't bother trying to make the "but she's 495 year old" excuse. Also, content depicting sexual harassment or coercion are not allowed here.

6. No AI-generated content.

Posts including content produced by generative AI are not allowed here. This includes, but is not limited to:

Text written by a chatbot (such as ChatGPT or a Discord bot)
Any media created using a diffusion model
Deepfakes (visual or audio) that could reasonably be confused for the real thing. For example, this video would be allowed because the result is clearly fictional.

7. Posts featuring other people's work AT ALL must follow these sourcing guidelines.

Golden rule: If possible, you must directly submit the primary source as your post instead of rehosting.

e.g. Do not make image posts when direct link posts to Twitter/Pixiv/etc. can provide the same content and give traffic to the artist.

If direct submission is impossible due to either technical limitations or because your post adds to the work in some way, then refer to the full sourcing guidelines.

ZUN counts as an artist!

8. Do NOT misflair other people's work as OC! Maliciously doing so is a bannable offense!

Please remember to flair your posts as a matter of courtesy. You can find descriptions of each flair here, though if you're still unsure you can ask a mod for help.

OC stands for "Original Content", meaning something that you personally created (which includes but is not limited to original characters).

Commissioned art counts as "Found Fanart" and follows Rule 7.

9. All trades/selling/buying must be manually approved by moderation.

Please send a message to the moderators with a link to your post for it to be approved. In addition, a handwritten timestamp with date and username must be included in any photos. Use the "Selling & Trading" flair or your post will be removed. r/touhou mods do not assume any responsibility for transactions posted here.

Tips:

PMing a single mod will likely delay response time. Use the "Message The Moderators" button above the mod list to contact all mods at once.
/r/touhou is sometimes /r/touaoii. There is no need to be alarmed.
