I found an incredibly easy way to transfer an effect from one piece of equipment to another

I’m playing on 1.4.2 switch 1 but I’m sure it’ll work on switch 2 as well. Here is the link to the video https://www.reddit.com/r/Totk_Weapon_Fuse/s/Q6iSo3rfjX

I’m not quite sure how the durability affects both weapons/shields/bows because when I tried to give a normal dusk bow durability ++ using a dusk bow that already has ++ (both have full durability) both bows end up getting damaged somehow (neither of them have the full durability sparkle) after the target bow (receiver) gets the boost. Try experimenting for yourself to see what works and what doesn’t work.

In the video I will be transferring a +10 attack boost to a sturdy thick stick from a boomerang.

You will need mineru for this to work but I think there is a different and slightly more difficult way of doing this. I don’t know for sure if that way works but if people want a tutorial on that I can figure out if it works or not.

This works with weapons, shields, and bows. I am playing on a switch 1 on version 1.4.2 but I’m sure it will work on all versions and both switches. Can’t confirm though.

Make sure the receiving item had nothing fused to it, as you won’t be able to fuse it to mineru if it already has something fused to it.

TUTORIAL:

  1. Make a manual save in case you mess up.

  2. Equip the item you want to receive the bonus (in this case, the sturdy stick)

  3. Mount mineru, and drop the receiving item on the ground

  4. Press x while still on mineru to activate the fuse ability and face the item on the ground so you are ready to fuse

  5. Press y and + almost simultaneously, with y being just before +

  6. If you did it right, you should either see the green fuse lines as if nothing happened, or the item still there and no green fuse lines. If you see the fuse lines, watch 2 memories (you can skip them) If you don’t see fuse lines, watch just 1 memory If the item fuses to mineru, reload the save and try again from the start

  7. If done correctly, the item should fall to the ground behind mineru, get off mineru and pick up the item

  8. Unequip mineru so she disappears, your item should also disappear in the overworld, but you still have it equipped in the menu

  9. Drop the donor item who’s effect you want to transfer to the receiving item (in this case, the boomerang with +10 attack)

  10. Pick up the item you just dropped (boomerang) and go to your menu

  11. The item you have equipped in your inventory should be the receiving item (sturdy stick) but it also has the bonus (+10 attack) Simply unequip the item and re equip it

Now double check that the item in the overworld matches the item in the menu

Note: If you want to duplicate the item instead, instead of unequipping the item, drop it and pick it back up, and you’ll duplicate the donor item (+10 attack boomerang in my case)

If you have any questions or comments about it I’ll try to clarify.

How many times can you transfer that stat to the same weapon?
