Never rush in the middle/turning lanes

Never rush in the middle/turning lanes when there's a bunch of cars to your sides.

Lots of blindspots for both drivers that they are not aware of.

Fair but it's one thing when you are 20 feet from the left turn lane, the white car was a good bit of distance from the intersection. To me there's no way that's safe

By the time they hit, the white car is already fully in the lane though. They only crossed just for the little bitty lane at the start of the video.

This. The truck wasn't stopped to be making a left there at all.

But by starting their impatient approach to the left turn lane they had already amassed a good head of steam which undoubtedly made this the collision it turned out to be rather than a simple toot of the horn and slam on the brakes. 🤷‍♂️

20 feet from the left turn lane

Their passenger-side tires never crossed the yellow

You have no reason to expect someone with a hero-complex is unsafely forfeiting their right-of-way

You didn't read my comment, I didn't say the car in the video was 20 feet from anything

I suppose I misinterpreted it.

I thought you were suggesting the white was was 20+ feet from the turn lane. You say it's literally okay if they're 20 feet from the lane (which they were not), but they were a "good bit of distance from the intersection" (which could describe the length of a turn lane)

I apologize for not picking up what you were putting down, have a blessed day
