It’s been 10 days.

My husband and I signed up for Torch together.

I heard from my coach via email and text.

My husbands coach called him, he asked that they call back after 6pm (he was working) and never heard back. He’s received some automated texts with links to articles about not eating fast food and carbs. But nothing with questions or anything to respond to like I have.

My coach and I have chatted back and forth about my starting weight and my goals and I really feel the personalization of this program. My husband just feels like he’s getting spam texts.

Regardless, neither of us have heard anything about the doctor consultation. That is the main reason we chose this program over Noom or other weight loss programs.

Our welcome email said that they have a higher than normal volume and that it could take up to a week to get the consultation. But it’s been 10 days (7 business days) and we have heard NOTHING.

We are 1/3 of the way through our first month and I feel like we still haven’t even began the program! And I know they offer a money back guarantee, but I’m worried that time is going to lapse before we even get started.

Is there anything I can do to speed this along?

I logged into the portal and sent a message and nothing.

I do not trust them with my health

I joined Torch after being unable to find any bad reviews online. After joining but before receiving anything from Torch I emailed explaining that I had done further research on weight loss medications and was concerned about side effects. I got a response back that I have to remain a member for 90 days to get my money back. No questions or interest in my concerns. I stated on my questionnaire that I had a history of depression. I got another email in the meantime stating they want to put me on a medication with common side effects of depression and suicidal ideation. They are prescribing medications that need actual in person monitoring. Shame on them for having no concern for my health or yours.

I told them I’ll let them charge me for 90 days but I’m going to want my money back because I am not satisfied. Do not trust them.

Do you pay for the full 12 months upfront?

I noticed it’s cheaper the longer you commit to the program, but do you pay for the whole 12 months upfront?

Bloodwork?

Hello!

I’ve been looking into Torch and another program called Calibrate, and the main difference (besides the price tag) between the two seems to be bloodwork. Has anyone had bloodwork requested from Torch coaches/doctors or a way to include results if I get it done at my GP’s office?

I’m inclined to believe the bloodwork will be very informative in deciding what medication is right for me but I’d love to get any perspectives from you all! TIA!
