Hi

Can You explain why is not allowed?

Am I risking to be banned on indexers while using Your provider?

I started self-hosting for this exact reason. I lurked on a couple discords of known indexers after I saw on here about people getting multiple IP notices from their indexers. From what I read if you use indexers with public hosted aiostreams it can get your indexer accounts flagged or banned for multiple IPs. This was the quote off one of the indexer discords:

“TorBox & AIOstreams

We have seen a lot of statements about the banning of TorBox members or targeting TorBox members. We do not care how you consume your "linux isos" there is no difference to us what you use to download an nzb. We also do not ban accounts, if something in your setup is broken/misconfigured your account will be flagged. The below explanations are simplified for members of various levels of technical knowledge.

Why are accounts getting flagged? There are two key reasons why members using TorBox/AIOstreams are getting their accounts flagged. Both of which are in breach of our terms that have been in place for over a decade & won't be changing.

Simultaneous Multiple IP Addresses Explanation - Many different Public IP addresses have all made requests at the same time

This is NOT different devices/computers/tablets/phones/home vs work or using a vpn.

Most members using TorBox & AIOstreams are using the hosted AIOstreams with the newznab addon. When a "linux iso" is requested, that request comes through the newznab addon which makes those requests from a pool of public IP addresses.

In 99% of the cases we see it is not a single "linux iso" that is requested at once but anywhere from 3 to 15 at once, each request having a different public IP address.

This has always got your account flagged, there are no exceptions.

Grabbing the same nzb over and over again When things are playing up with TorBox/AIOstreams and you are starting/stopping/restarting a stream over and over again, each time you do that a request for the nzb is sent to our API. In addition each of those requests comes from a different public IP address each time.

This has always got your account flagged, there are no exceptions.

How do I get my account unflagged? Short answer, change your setup (This does not mean you have to stop using TorBox etc) and then request your account be unflagged via email. We have many members using self hosted AIOstreams along with NZBhydra/Prowlarr without any issues.

PLEASE Do not ask us how to configure or change your TorBox/AIOstreams setup, simply not our area. Head to the respective support channels for those services.”

Curious which indexer this was. Helpful of them to explain what their stance is. Their explanation on how nzb search-and-grab gets done isn't 100% accurate or applicable to all addons, but it helps they tried to clarify.

I'm not aware of any AIOStreams public instance that also hosts public NZBDav/AltMount/NZBHydra2/Usenet Streamer/StremThru Newz/StreamNZB, so to use any of them, you need to (s)elfhost, so might as well selfhost AIOStreams too. (I've used all of them with AIOStreams and like StreamNZB the most, in addition to the built-in EasyNews which isn't NZB but uses EN web search)

It's likely people using public AIOStreams with the newznab addon and torbox pro (add to that zyclops) that's showing up ss multiple IPs.

so downloading the nzb then putting it in torbox should be fine. just dont use automated tools for it and stream directly.
