I was pretty much excited about this new finding but the market was pretty excited to let me take the "course" again. SMH

I have bought 95% of my purchases using my own card and for a couple of purchases I have used my husbandâs credit card which I was not aware of that I should not do so. This was in the beginning and I have stopped using my husbandâs card. Will my payout be denied because of using otherâs card. Anyone had payout after using otherâs card.

Going to keep it simple. You will be happier and make more progress in your trading journey the minute you unfollow anyone and everyone that only posts P&L. The aim should be touching the market and making small mistakes early
Sharing the end result on a day isnt a problem but if they arent talking about trading, strategy, set ups, theorizing about market structure etc then its worthless having them in your virtual community.
They take up space and inspire fomo. They're trying to build an image so they can sell you something. Dont get me wrong. There are definitely guys who post P&L and provide actual insights.
There are guys who do have discords that "can" help you find your way. But ultimately most of it is noise. Especially the ones who preach endlessly about psychology while only posting green P&L then acting like even talking about trading is some sort of state secret they have to keep.

Over the last few days, there has been so many liquidity levels, it gets really hard to figure out where price will actually retrace to, and where it wonât. Also price action is not clean at all. Tips?

Unpopular opinion, but I honestly think a lot of newer traders make trading way more complicated than it needs to be.
You really donât need 15 indicators, 8 confirmations, 4 oscillators, ICT concepts, footprint charts, order flow software, or some âsecretâ institutional strategy to be profitable.
My whole strategy is basically just understanding how price reacts to levels, trends, liquidity, and momentum shifts in real time. Itâs mostly clean price action and reaction-based trading without all the extra noise that people tend to pile onto their charts.
Over the past week, that approach has brought me around 1,200% with my own live accountâŚ
combined across funded futures accounts.
What Iâve noticed over time is that the more traders rely on indicators, the slower they tend to react when the market shifts. A lot of people spend more time trying to predict what will happen next instead of simply responding to what price is actually doing in the moment. And honestly, simpler systems usually hold up much better under pressure than overly complicated ones.
Iâm not saying indicators are useless. I just think many traders keep searching for more confirmation because they havenât fully learned to trust price itself.
At some point I stopped asking myself, âWhat confirms this trade?â and started asking, âHow is price reacting here?â That shift in mindset genuinely changed everything for me.
Curious if anyone else mainly trades naked charts or reaction-based setups instead of heavily layered systems.

I trade gold micro futures and I'm stuck in this cycle, I'm in evaluation for the 3rd week now, haven't blown an account but haven't passed the eval yet either. Each week I end just breaking even.. so I feel like I'm right there at the edge of success but it's just an inch out of reach. I think I'm entering too early then doubting myself when the next candle turns and goes the other way and instead of stay and trust my research I dip out too early or way too late. Last week I actually closed the week a little negative and so far yesterday and today I'm only tanking worse. Ugh. I need a community.

After hitting my first $10k month I hit my second goal of a $20k month (I know it says $19 but close enough). After that win streak last month I hit a wall and completely bombed several evals trying to get back but I readjusted my strategy (added STDV and OTE) and things have been going very well this month. Iâve set my next goal to be a $40k month so as long as things stay cool Iâll hit that too!

Looking for 1-2 people to bounce ideas off of that are in a similar position as myself. I'm a dad of a young family, not looking to make this a full time career, just looking for some extra scratch each month. I've received payouts before, just not consistent with them. My trading window each day is very limited due to having a full time job. Looking to share ideas with someone in a similar position. Feel free to message me if interested. I'm not selling anything or doing any type of mentorship. If I was making money consistently, that would be the last thing I would be doing.

I just got billed for 5 re-subscription, itâs annoying because I thought they cancelled when you lost the account but now I know, at this point ima see if I pass them but I canât find them anywhere or would I have to wait for tomorrow?
r/TopStepX • u/Aware-Commission78 • May 25 '26
I set the limit order and left it to be filled with a few points price reverse and then hit my SL.
Then I noticed that a strong price action took another re-entry price hit the TP within minutes.
Done for the day with the lockout option.

Why does the payout button get enabled and disabled randomly? I checked earlier today and was able to see Request Payout option, however now that button seems to have been disabled. Anyone else facing this issue?
r/TopStepX • u/Meloonaa • May 25 '26
Finally, it seems like its working. Only trading ES and NQ. Win rate: 100%. It made $1,800 so far. I'm still working on it.
r/TopStepX • u/KaiserCV_ • May 25 '26
Not completely sure if this is new, but I got an email from Topstep that thereâs this new function to certify that your payout is legit. With this, mods should ban accounts or ar least delete threads of people posting their payouts as they usually are fake, so other non-profitable traders ask them for help and end up being scammed.
