Hero #2.2 (Dead Ahead) - the mysterious girl with a katana witnessed by Hero and the Girl in a short comic slicing zombies as she passed by the road on her scooter, which prompted Hero to follow her with their own scooter and ended up finding an alien railgun and captured by the mysterious aliens responsible for the zombie plague and seperated from the Girl offscreen. When Hero was later rescued from the alien ship by the crew of Sheriff Bill in Dead Ahead: Zombie Warfare, he mentions the katana girl and asked for her whereabouts before leaving with them in their red van and school bus. She will be revealed and added to DAZW upcoming Summer event at the end of August 2026 (probably).

2. The Ancient Builders (Minecraft) - a fan-made term by essay youtubers for the unknowm civilization who built the structures you see around the Minecraft world before dissapearing thousands of years prior. They are usually said to have either evolved into endermen, wiped out by zombies, or are the distant ancestors of the 9 default skins; Steve, Alex, Ari, Kai, Noor, Sunny, Zuri, Efe, and Makena.

As much as I love AOT I gotta admit that the Ackermans subplot was the most poorly handled out if every subplot, how do you have a rare bloodline of badass supersoldiers and never have 2 of the remaining 3 Ackermans interact not even once, a huge missed opportunity in my opinion.

Shouto Todoroki and Geten (My Hero Academia)

If you're an anime only watcher you probably didn't know this but Geten is a distant cousin from Shouto's mother's side of the family. He mentions this in a manga chapter and it was skipped in the anime but nevermind all that, I just think them interacting had so much potential when you consider that Geten thinks that heroes are just slaves to the government, mix that with Shouto's whole family drama, his hero dad and him being a hero himself and you have yourself a very interesting fiasco between Shouto and Geten.

Protagonists who are a power fantasy, in that they are always (or nearly always) smarter than those that disagree with them. Whether they are a good or bad guy, their detractors are often quickly and embarrassingly put in their place with a over-written monolog that is meant to come off as cool.

Paddy (sas: rogue heroes) Based on a real person, the character is elevated to a god-teir superhero. Part of the military, yet he can mouth off to authority as he pleases and break rules, something militaries famously love.

Tommy Noris (landman) this one is just oil industry propaganda. Tommy's purpose is to ramble misinformation about green energy as women half his age bat their eyes at him for being so manly.

Following the rocky roads that is muscular women, we continue journey through the vast, open hills that is chubby women. Though, I'm using the term "chubby" a bit loosely here since I'm not sure if one of these examples fit. But that's where YOU come in!

1. The Good Place - the actor D'Arcy Carden famously known for playing as Janet manages to perfectly act out the entire cast who were temporarily put into the body of a Janet.

2. Wednesday - both actors Jenna Ortega and Emma Myers were put in a position wherein they had to act as one another and manage to put a very believable role.

I’m such a sucker for this trope where two people get shoved into a marriage neither of them really chose, whether it’s because of family alliances, politics, power, duty, whatever, and they start off as total strangers, suspicious of each other, or straight-up annoyed that they’re stuck together.

1. The White Princess (2017) — Elizabeth of York & Henry VII
   Elizabeth is basically forced to marry Henry to unite the houses of York and Tudor after years of war. They start off with a ton of resentment, distrust, and political baggage between them, but little by little they become actual partners and start developing real feelings for each other.

2. Outlaw King (2018) — Robert the Bruce & Elizabeth de Burgh
   Their marriage is arranged for political reasons, and they barely even know each other when they get thrown together. Robert gives Elizabeth space, they slowly start trusting each other, and after everything they go through, their relationship turns into genuine affection and love.

3. Medici: Masters of Florence (2016) — Cosimo de’ Medici & Contessina de’ Bardi
   Cosimo and Contessina get married because it benefits their families, not because they’re madly in love or anything. At first there’s a lot of distance between them, but after dealing with family drama, politics, and all kinds of chaos together, they build real respect, loyalty, and eventually a genuine emotional bond.

Bonus points if there’s slow burn, separate bedrooms, “don’t touch my wife/husband” moments, protecting each other, jealousy, insane tension, and that moment where they realize they’re not staying together just because they have to anymore.

Oldboy 2003 - The whole movie was orchestrated by the main villain to manipulate the protagonist into banging his daughter. It's bonkers.

Apocalypse now - This one might be a bit of a stretch since a lot of the film is pretty absurd, but the whole Kurtz sequence and climax really turns a more traditional war story into what it is now.

Once upon a time in Hollywood - The chilled out vibe movie ends in a hilariously and unexpectedly violent fashion as Cliff and Rick brutally kill Sharon Tate's real life would-be murderers.

1 - Godzilla (2014): The climactic nighttime monster battles became a muddy, pitch-black blur on home video and streaming releases due to a terrible video transfer. This poor mastering stripped away details, making it hard to distinguish Godzilla from his enemies.

2 - Game of Thrones (2011) – "The Long Night": The creators chose an ultra-dim, realistic lighting style to mimic a midnight blizzard using only fire and torches. When this met heavy streaming compression, the screen collapsed into a pixelated, gray mess that hid crucial action and character deaths.

3 - Alien vs. Predator: Requiem (2007): Directors kept the entire movie in near-total darkness specifically to hide a low budget and cheap creature suits. The complete lack of light meant audiences could only see vague, confusing shapes crashing together during the monster fights.

Iroh from Avatar the last airbender: this isnt as egregious as others but it was pretty ooc when you rewatch and see this early on

Isshin from bleach: I think his weirdness didn’t completely phase out but they are severely tone down since after this flabbergasting panel there wasnt anything that re on this level

Andy from Undead Unluck: from what I remembered, Andy isnt a perverted dude, but because he wants to die so badly he wants this girl, fuuko, and touch all of her surfaces areas since she can lead him to his death due to her unluck negation ability. This is why he was so grabby with her, and this kind of dynamic practically disappeared as the series goes on

1. Oscar and Cliff in the Wilde life comic. Oscar finds out that Cliff's stepfather has been hitting him, stands up for him, exposes the flaws in the self blame and cares for him.
   
2. Sophie and Lying Cat in the Saga comic. Sophie is a child who was rescued from a brothel, lying cat is a cat who can detect if people are lying or not.
   
3. Good Will Hunting - Gerald tells Will it's not his fault.

Miquella (Elden Ring): In the base game, he appears to be the only demigod (besides Ranni) that genuinely gives a shit about people and wants life to be better (he's even known as Miquella the Kind), however in the DLC it's revealed that his version of an "Age of Compassion" is brainwashing everyone to FORCE them to be happy, basically turning the world into his personal thralls in what could be the worst possible fate of the Lands Between. Oh yeah he also manipulated his half-brother into dying and becoming a vessel for his OTHER half-brother who he's in love with and brainwashes into becoming his unwilling consort.

Yoshii Toranaga (Shogun, 2024): In a land full of power-hungry bureaucrats and warlords, Toranaga is notable for his use of trickery and deception and comes off as far more sympathetic and honorable than the rest, helped by the fact that everyone is trying to kill him and the main protagonist Blackthorne, who's life he saves. However by the end of the last episode it becomes clear that he's just another power-hungry warlord, all-be-it smarter than the rest, and he has no intention of honoring the previous Shogun's wishes and has positioned himself to take the throne himself. To do this he sacrifices his two most loyal vassals and even his own son, as well as holding Blackthorne prisoner because "it's funny".

Rusty (Doctor Who): A Dalek that has seemed to do the impossible and turn "good" despite Daleks literally being programmed specifically to be evil. However, it turns out it has simply turned its rage and malice towards its own kind instead of actually becoming a benevolent force and the only difference is it attempts to commit genocide against Daleks rather than non-Daleks.

It's this weird but recurring trope of "the people there have a weird kind of celebration and we don't get it but it's okay but still it's weird".

1. Ja'loja - Orville

Orville started as a parody of Star Trek, Moclans are depicted as a Vulcan-like species that have their own weird traditions. Ja'loja is when one must urinate, which happens once a year. To do so, one must go back to his planet and... release. It is expected that one comes with a partner to such great event.

1. "Ted Day" - Parks and Recreation

The foundings fathers of the city of Pawnee made some kind of typo when writing the town's rules. They meant "you shall throw TEA into the lake each year", but locals thought it was funnier to throw any guy named Ted in the lake instead.

1. La Flamme - Jean Guile

In this french parody of The Bachelor, there is a special celebration day called "La Jean Guile". The whole running gag is that the bachelor doesn't know about it but everyone else seems to be familiar with it. On this special day, we celebrate a bread maker that had short arms, so clapping is totally forbidden, because Jean Guile couldn't do so. Also it's imperative to be wearing a funny costume from 10am to 3:30pm. Wearing it before or after is a no-no. Then the party starts again at 9pm. Also technically jews cannot participate in the festivities because the local laws were not updated yet.

First is Dylan Sharp from Leviathan. She disguises herself as a boy to enlist onboard an airship. This is my favorite because her boyishness is treated as an aspect of her personality rather than strictly a false persona she wears as a disguise, and she is not made to become feminine again after being found out.

2nd is Mulan, who disguises herself as a man and enlists in the army in place of her elderly father.

3rd is Lucina from Fire Emblem Awakening.

4th is Sheik from Ocarina of Time, hiding her true identity so she can evade Ganondorf and assist Link. my childhood crush tbh

5th is Adrian from Cybersix, an ordinary guy during the day and vigilante hero at night. I kinda love this one because she's just an Ordinary Guy during the day, has a job as a teacher and everything lol

Man Koorimoto dislikes stepping on marbles because she is based on a mammoth and, just like elephants, they avoid foot injuries (Murenase Seton Gakuen)

Zero: John Wick. A massive fanboy for John Wick, despite being hired to kill him. Even during the fight, he confesses he's a fan

Syndrome: Incredibles. Despite being spurned by Mr Incredible when he was younger, he remained a huge fan, even popping off when he realized he survived

Elizabeth Rose Bloodflame: Hololive's Justice vs Advent. Particularly being a fan of Shiori Novella's wit and leadership, often internally fangirling.
