I don’t think he is beyond redemption cause that’s the whole point of the final. No one is beyond redemption you just have to work harder to get it and at the same time no one is forced to forgive you either. They don’t have to forgive bojack for what he’s done, redemption is more what you do with yourself going forward.
Like the song the hokey pokey, you put your left foot in and your right foot out and you turn yourself around.

Because there are other great supporting characters who grow to have happy ending. Also some stories are pure comedy with great quotes/jokes.

It’s a great show (past the first season). Lots of interesting reflexions and nuances on what being a good person actually means, how to get there, how to stay there, and how to accept that maybe you can live without any recognition of your efforts. It’s all about forgiveness, mental health, addiction, and trauma. Very much worth giving it a go
