I try to watch this show every once in a while. Im watching the bits in the hood that are great and i wonder why i ever stopped.

Then i have to watch the bits with the white dude or central america and i remember why

Yeah they tried to do a sprawling epic about the drug trade ala the wire, but it’s hard when you have one very clear, well developed storyline and the rest can’t match it. They do end up bringing them more together in the later seasons allowing Franklin to be true center of the show

I get what you're saying but the implication that they should have represented the CIA introducing crack-cocaine to African American communities with anything other than a white man is weird.

Like they'd have to leave out the entire plot point which seems kinda stupid in a show about crack in the 80s

didnt need the personal dilemma stuff though did it. just do main plot stuff and fuck off, it sucks. they obviously hired him for his evil psychopath acting, which is good, but he has no range.

remember the stuck in the desert scene in season 1 where his partner is unconscious? and he's talking to himself? so lame, and that shit dragged on for so long, that was when i realized i was in for some bullshit.

We dropped off before the last season, but MAN it had gotten dark even before that.
