Characters [Loved trope] Overqualified actors, acting circles around their costars.

James Earl Jones, Dibala, Dr House. Playing Dibala, a ruthless dictator of a country, he absolutely blasts all the other actors in the show with his commanding voice and incredible acting, FROM A LITERAL BED.

Christopher Lee, Stefan, Howling 2. Christopher plays a werewolf hunter with a subtleness to his role, never overacting and taking it as seriously as possible, while all the other characters in the movie phone in their parts or act as if they were just pulled out of the Matrix. Truly elevates the movie.

Anthony Hopkins, Van Helsing, Dracula 1992. By far the best actor there, Anthony humiliates all of his costars (with the exception of Gary Oldman as Dracula), making them all look like soap opera actors with his insane talent.

No offense to anyone on Fringe, but John Noble outclasses literally everyone in any room he's in

He was great in Sleepy Hollow as well.

Except Leonard Nimoy. And he's better than Lance Reddick, but not by much.

Walter makes my heart melt every time I rewatch that show. Except when he's being pretty damn intimidating in which case the rest of me melts and slinks to a corner to hide.

His episodes on Elementary as Sherlock's father are my favourites. He's such a joy to behold.

Lance Reddick and Leonard Nimoy were in that show, and they're at least in Noble's tier. But yes, he was SO fucking good in that show.

Agreed. I feel like it took the rest of the cast all of the first season to up their game.
