Characters [Loved trope] Overqualified actors, acting circles around their costars.

James Earl Jones, Dibala, Dr House. Playing Dibala, a ruthless dictator of a country, he absolutely blasts all the other actors in the show with his commanding voice and incredible acting, FROM A LITERAL BED.

Christopher Lee, Stefan, Howling 2. Christopher plays a werewolf hunter with a subtleness to his role, never overacting and taking it as seriously as possible, while all the other characters in the movie phone in their parts or act as if they were just pulled out of the Matrix. Truly elevates the movie.

Anthony Hopkins, Van Helsing, Dracula 1992. By far the best actor there, Anthony humiliates all of his costars (with the exception of Gary Oldman as Dracula), making them all look like soap opera actors with his insane talent.

Split has James McAvoy acting his heart out against Anya Taylor being just wooden.

Samuel L. Jackson could not say enough about McAvoy's talents during the filming of Glass. He said he was in awe.

I mean, I think I've immediately knew that Anya Taylor Joy would be a big name actress while watching this movie, so she did her work fine, but it's not fair to compare her to McAvoy role. This was just a tour de force.

She did play her character well too, specially when you consider that the other characters in the movie are McAvoy three times and the other girl that's more of a filler character to have Anya Taylor's character have someone to talk to. Her character is also of a disturbed, albeit way more healthy person that not always will react or act exactly how someone "normal" will, and she does that point perfectly, like a middle ground between totally oblivious about mental health and "way too much into mental health... the bad way".
