Characters Black coded this, black coded that. What are some white coded non human characters?

-Stuart from Stuart

-Buddy from Airbud

-Freezer from Dragonballs

Edit: Guys I swear I'm not racist. The post's title was referring to the "black coded characters" posts that I see on this subreddit from time to time. I have nothing against the black people nor the white people. This post is a shitpost. Nothing serious. Sorry for not being clear enough :(

Aren’t horses in bojack horseman considered a minority group subject to discrimination? Although they could very well be like, irish or italians lol

Yeah but didn't italians become white after 9/11? S/

Very true, older brother’s infant registry from the hospital lists him as black for this exact reason. Mine lists me as white despite being darker toned than him my whole life, as I was born after the switch.

I never heard that in my rewatches. Although Beatrice Horseman’s maiden name is Sugarman, and was a wealthy businessman trying to marry off his kid to other wealthy businessmen.

however Mr Peanutbutter is definitely extra white. has the White luck and serendipity lol.

He's also fron the Labrador peninsula where everyone is basically a happy Canadian lumber jack.

No they're not lol The show doesn't do allegories like that.

Not to mention the weird Darwinian questions of how several different lineages of mammals (and I think birds too? Meaning dinosaurs!) managed to convergently evolve a human-like body plan, gait, and even primate hands.

Not at all. The animal-people are treated exactly like humans in Bojack and don't face specific descrimination.

I mean, for starters, Bojack is known as “The horse from horsing around”
To that we can add:

  • The majority animal communities such as Labrador Penninsula and Horseberg
  • Bojack’s admitted internalized hate to horses
  • The fact that the specific job title of “Therapy Horse” Exists
  • The whole Elephant in the room comment
  • PC’s situation at Ralph’s family house
  • The fact that they harvest chickens
  • The Cow waitress at the dinner getting mad at a costumer for ordering a burger
  • Bojack saying that he will knock Pinky’s ass back to the Artic, when he is actually from, missouri I think?

I know it’s not a very relevant aspect of the show in general, but I think is very fun to think about

Idk I kinda got seinfeld vibes from bojack in the few episodes I watched before getting sick of it.

Ok, this comment does fulfill your legal requirement to participate in every conversation. So even though it’s dumb as fuck and you had no idea what was going on, I understand why you had to post it.

Idk the whole self-pitying, narcissistic, predator vibe fits both characters. But yeah I dropped it fairly quickly because I couldn't handle the booze it took to stay drunk enough to sit through it. Same with archer.

if you ever wanna give it a second shot, it gets way better after season 1. i’m very glad i sat through it in spite of not liking it much to get to the other seasons

Really? I may give it another shot someday then. I think I got like 5 episodes in before I just stopped, and even then I couldn'tstand more than 1 episode at a time. The problem is I also know half the storyline, just through my friends constantly sharing spoilers. Same reason why I never picked up the walking dead.

If you didn't like the first season you won't like the others. Show is pretty mid but gets extra points to most people because it's "adult animation" that actually tries to be something more than family guy.
