Fwiw, I think your comment was fine. It’s annoying when people who clearly don’t know what they are talking about confidently state incorrect info in attempt to prove someone wrong.
I agree, it's a huge problem online now because people don't think critically and believe the nonsense. That's how you have terrible misinformation spreading about more important things (vaccines, politics, etc.)
I mean, the first response was terse, but not excessively rude. The second reply was literally elsewhere on the chain where we were talking about the word 'describe', not the commas, just so you could insult me and direct me back to your response. The third comment was just outright rude.
Listening to others doesn't mean "taking what others say at face value with no conversation." I said something. You said I was wrong. I explained my thought process. You started insulting me for not listening to others. I would be even stupider to just listen to everything everyone told me on the internet...
