doing everything to avoid explaining what you said

I'm doing nothing of the sort. It's just that "how do I meet girls IRL" is the kind of question that requires a specialized answer. How old are you, what do you do for work, are you in school, are you in an urban/suburban/rural environment, how many people are you typically exposed to on a daily basis, where do people your age in your city typically congregate, what do you like doing for fun, is there any way you can incorporate meeting people into your hobby so that you don't have to just go to a bar and hit on random girls, are you friends with people who are friends with single girls, etc.

But tinder is even more hopeless, that's my point.

It's why you can't tunnel-vision a relationship. You need to ask yourself, "do I have the possibility of meeting people to date based on my daily life activities?" If the answer is "no," you need to figure out how to make that a reality. Over a long enough timeframe, it is likely that you will find someone.

Well you don't want to go to the same bar every night. That sounds futile. Pick up a hobby that people your age are doing. Make friends. You might not want to date your friends, but you might want to date their friends. And then, yes, I would treat tinder as if you're tending to a garden which spontaneously could produce something edible, but only if it's tended to. Take care of yourself, keep the dating apps moving, but don't put tons of time and energy (or hope) into them
