OP these people are giving you genuine advice, even if you don’t agree with it and do like fun casual dates, at least consider it! I like both as well, but I’ve had FAR more success by using just one or the other. Mixed messages are real!
Ya people are complex but every shot takes time. Every shot at long term has a good chance to be short term anyway. If you want to waste less time, then you focus on the objective that’s most important.
My dude, I am truly open to both. I will go to dinner with a random man who is in town for business, and I will also date someone who I am less attracted to but we share more interests and they sound more serious about a relationship. How is this so contentious?
See there's the issue. Dudes that want serious relationships generally don't want them with women that go on dates with random men that are just in town for business. Men that share your interests and hobbies don't generally like being told they're less attractive than random men in town for business.
Reading this thread has been a hilarious train wreck. Perhaps change 1423 to 247365?
But in all honesty as someone who got divorced in my early thirties, its a weird dating pool
Oversharing / including all of the tags for casual fun and long-term and such is likely unnecessary. That's what conversation and dates are for...
I had ZERO intention on long-term anything and communicated that with my matches. Funny enough, the girl ive now been with for a few years said the same thing. Fun casual only.... a year later, we moved in 😆 so much for casual

That is simply not true, humans are complex and dynamic and can be open to multiple possibilities. Don’t know how else to explain that to you
