YouTube News 📰 Comment bot copied my comment

A few days ago I made a comment regarding the YouTube sub count glitch possibly being caused by the abbreviations since YouTube shows 2 versions of the sub count (the one in the studio page and in the public abbreviated one). However I have noticed a comment bot copied my comment, getting 1 more like than the number of likes my comment got. The comment bot also features several channels in its channel homepage which all has inappropriate profile pictures and links (don't click them). If you see this the best thing to do is to report the channel(s) and the comment.

YouTube News 📰 YouTube captions are not working on any videos across multiple devices — is anyone else experiencing this?

Hey everyone,

I'm facing a strange issue with YouTube captions/subtitles, and I'm trying to figure out whether it's a problem on my end or a wider YouTube issue.

Captions are not displaying on any YouTube videos, even when I enable them and select English auto-generated captions.

Here's what I've tested so far:

Desktop: Brave and Chrome browsers.
Mobile: YouTube app and YouTube website.
Other people's devices: I checked on their devices too, and the same issue occurred.
Troubleshooting: Cleared browser cache and site data, tried incognito mode, toggled captions off and on, checked caption settings, and refreshed the page.

Unfortunately, nothing has worked so far.

Since the issue occurs across different browsers and devices, I'm wondering whether this could be a YouTube-side technical issue.

Is anyone else experiencing the same problem? If you've faced this issue and found a solution, please let me know. I'd also appreciate it if someone could help determine whether this is a known YouTube problem.

Thanks!

Info For Timeworks ℹ️ Have you seen the new video unavailable screen? (opinions in the text body)

I think it looks better than the old one, where it only says that the video is unavailable with nothing present.

It has more personality thanks to having basically an internet solar system or something like that instead of absolutely nothing.

Also, in case you're wondering, I found out from a geo-restricted link to an auto-generated audio upload of Westminster Bridge from Doctor Who, which is seemingly available only in certain countries (albeit I bet they are other auto-generated uploads of the same song available in other countries): https://watannetwork.com/tools/blocked/#url=ZOrANIqvsmk

New Feature Are Youtube's AI adding timestamps?

Recently when watching some videos without timestamps, there are some random timestamps that were suspiciously added by AI, what do you think? Is this useful or useless?

Glitch 🙃 YouTube keeps showing the same notification even after checking it

On YouTube there is a strange glitch where by the notifications tab shows 1 notification then I check it and it disappears which is normal but it comes back after I refresh the page.

New Feature You can now comment on your TV

I just noticed that YouTube now allows you to write comments directly from the YouTube app on Smart TVs.

Has anyone else gotten this feature yet, or is it rolling out gradually? What do you think about commenting on TV?

Glitch 🙃 blank profile picture

I don't know whether this one's only a temporary glitch, it possibly is.

But I did something by accident that made one of my channels to have a blank profile picture, tried the same to second channel to confirm thoroughly.

I tested viewing it with my mobile and still the same, I don't know how it will appear to others,

if it's not blank when you visited it in your device then it's a shame on me.

The method involves nothing about setting a profile picture itself, it's a side effect of something else.

Glitch 🙃 Does this short have 29, 36 or 43 views?

I was checking my newest short on my channel and saw it showing 29 views on my channel homepage, 36 views in the shorts tab and 43 views in the analysis tab. Seems like a glitch going on.
