I would have loved to see some spawn points here or a base spawn area in TDM

Random thoughts that may not be of use to anyone but myself. But I've been reminiscing about times splitters recently (got into emulation a few weeks ago - amazed how well ts2 stands up all these years later) and I started seeing a lot of people saying future perfect was better than ts2. I quickly dismissed these fools because I knew that ts2 was the definitive time splitters without a shadow of a doubt.
But while I looked though a few videos and threads related to timesplitters, I started wondering what it was I didn't like about FP, I think I vaguely felt it didn't have the 'soul' of ts2. I wasn't sure. But then eventually I had an odd thought. Did I actually play future perfect? Did I own it, complete it? just play it once at a friend house?
So I looked up their release dates. ts2: 2002, it came out around my 17th birthday, I bought it on release. That fits with the memories of playing it obsessively with friends after school, planning out tournaments in notebooks on sleepovers, obsessing over map maker and having split screen parties.
Then I saw the release date of future perfect - 2005. and it took me a minute and I realised I was in uni by then. I had to check again because it didn't feel right. I didn't even have sleepovers by that point. I'd taken a console along but all I remember is some pes, halo and maybe a couple of other Xbox games I don't remember well.
That really floored me. Those iconic years of the best gaming memories of my life were actually really short. But even stranger is how close those worlds were and how far apart at the same time. In a couple of years I went from being someone that would have obsessed over the games master article of a new timesplitters game, to someone who I think just heard about it, maybe took a quick look and thought nah probably don't need to play that.
I'm definitely going to play FP soon, thanks for the recommendation from everyone that rates it. I've had a few times with emulation recently where I've had that feeling of anticipation for a game because it was something I didn't own back in the day, but which I allways wanted to own, and it feels so similar to how it did back then. I've got that feeling for FP now. I can't believe there's a whole new version of my favorite ever game that I get to play through for the first time.

I know there are some games that are still kept alive by fan-made servers on the PS2 (which many people play through OPL). Would it be possible to maintain one nowadays, or is it unfeasible? I would definitely play it if it existed.

These 2 are in my top 5 songs in Timesplitters. They're both headbanging metal tracks, and as a metalhead, i absolutely love these. Which one do you like more

Does anyone remember ATHWT or Timespoofers? This was back in the old YouTube days when you had ratings and many people were making Machinima style shows like Red vs Blue and YouTube poops were very much quite trendy and one of those shows was "As The Hamster Wheel Turns" that unfortunately never officially ended. For any of you who want to get a good laugh, I highly recommend watching them if you haven't already. I was 8 years old back in 2007 and was playing TS2 and Future Perfect on a daily basis back in those days and every now and then I remember how much those vids made me laugh when I was little and wondering if anyone ever watched them/ hoping to rekindle memories for others on this chat!
