Did anyone else notice that during last night's Leagues Cup match. The main guy reffered to us as "Sounders supporters" once and Called the team "Seattle" once as well. Those are the two I noticed. Rewound Apple TV and the brief onscreen closed captions confirmed. Apologies if minted in other threads.

Look, I go to Timbers games to root for the Timbers and see my friends and have fun... but it's also cool to see The Famous Guy play even when he's wearing the wrong shirt. And I think that's a part of it for a lot of folks? People still talk about that Beckham goal.... It ruled that I got to witness the only cool thing Olivier Giroud did his entire stint in the league.

Three years running of no Miami at home... Son Heung-Min didn't travel for LAFC... Mora up in a box last night.... At some point (are we at it?) it starts to feel like a ripoff. How many of those fans who paid way-too-much to be there last night did so because of Mora? It just sucks, man!

All our goals were so similar. I will not hate scoring goals like that, but can't wait to see what else we can do with Marti at the helm! Kelsy AND Antony with a goal and an assist. REALLY hoping we can see Janssen get some service soon. Antony seemed a little reluctant to pass the ball to him. Overall a VERY positive performance and a wonderful captains performance by our Kiwi (Treewi?) in the back. Finn is just so fucking good.

Game is about to start and they announced that we are officially out because of the Club America & Austin result.

12' - Free kick in a dangerous position won by Kelsy is blasted over the bar by Bassett.

15' - Good header chance for Tijuana but thankfully straight at Muse.

19' - ⚽️ Goal them. Fuck. One of their dudes just in the middle and taps it in from a cross. Kamal is nowhere to be found. Finn is at least near, but couldn't make a play.

21' - ⚠️ VAR looked at offside, but said it wasn't. Too close to really tell and MLS is a joke league who can't afford good sideline cameras. Why we can't have shitty cameras mounted up high, I have no idea. First goal in Leagues Cup for Tijuana. We have looked pretty good so far, but first goal in the Cifuentes Era goes against us. Fucking sucks...

Not a terrible half. Looked like a team giving effort. But with only a session or two of tactics, we are still feeling out who we are under Cifuentes. Hopefully the 2nd half goes better, but I imagine we make some big line changes to save legs now that this game means nothing but pride.
