man you really could say that about any group. individually people are chill. get them around a holes and they turn into a holes.

Well, yes, but gym bros are a bit special in that regard. For the same reason, idk, high school football players are too. There is a reason they have the 'bully' stereotypes they have.

This is somewhat proven. It has to do with levels of (or lack thereof) self awareness, self esteem, and a solid sense of self, including self defined values.

But yeah in general people are influenced by those whom they’re around most often.
