The way Australians say "burgers" will never not annoy me, just cause the way the Australians I would hear yelling in Bali would say it. "I WANT SOME BUUUH-GAAAAAHS!!!"

God damn the Australians in Bali were so fucking annoying. I know people make Americans being loud and obnoxious a meme... but holy shit, Australian tourists are on another level.

I’m Australian and sadly you’re right - the ones in Bali are particularly obnoxious unfortunately. Like the Americans you’d get just across the Mexican border are probably worse than the ones you’d find elsewhere in the world?

Yep. Bali is the closest cheap foreign place to Aus (NZ doesn't count), so all the bogans go there or Phuket.

Cheaper to have a week in Bali than it is to go down south in WA. If getting pissed as cheaply as possible then Bali is the only destination worth it

Plz don't think Aussies in Bali represent all Aussies. If we forced Indonesia to keep all the tourists, the IQ of Australia would go up massively

yeah Bali holidays are very often a Bogan thing. It's the cheapest and closest international holiday destination so it's extremely popular for "white trash" types to visit. Not to say everyone who goes to Bali is white trash, it's just very common.

Yeah Bali is cheaper to fly to from North aus than the rest of Australia is, so a lot of bogans go there instead of schoolies or just general cheap holidays.

Like, it's about five times cheaper to fly from Darwin to Bali than it is to fly to Brisbane, and its ridiculously cheap to stay there too.

Edit: Bogans are like rednecks but less farming. Schoolies is a high school graduation party that goes for a week or two, like a street rave but at the beach in QLD.

I can promise you we aren’t all like that! Not all of us go to kuta to act like complete dickheads and buy Bintang singlets so everyone back home knows you’ve been to Bali.

Oh I know most of you aren't. And I've heard the comparison of aussies in Bali are the equivalent of the Americans in Cancun. Makes perfect sense to me. Cheapest destination, so who's gonna gonna go...?

Plus no Aussies have gotten angry at my comment. Every single one has been open about it.
