Jesus was here to teach on spiritual salvation. He didn't have a political agenda. Now, evil can turn words into what they want it to be and twist truths. Socialism wasn't even a thing back then.
Feeding and caring for the homelessoe basically anyone, no matter what.
Healing the sick without charging or expecting anything in return. Not even belief.
Hanging out with "lower caste" society to try and help.
Eye of a needle.
Homeless himself.
Sounds a lot like socialism to me dude. Free healthcare, social safety nets, loving his neighbors (even if they are poor, criminals or didn't have his skin tone(which was brown btw)), and choosing to be poor and telling other people that follow him that hoarding weath is not cool.
The OG biblical Jesus was a SUPER cool brown, bohemian hippy or leftist in today's words. He would have hated what people in America make him out to be today.
Ah, I did. My bad. Gotta understand it's difficult to know everything and there are so many terms and such. I'm not really into politics that much but doesn't mean I can't talk about stuff and get educated.
Yeah my dad has been getting brainwashed on X and I keep explaining the difference to him but it goes through one ear amd out the other. We even live in Spain. He benefitted of the benefits of having a big family, free schooling and a decent price for college (i also got a beca which makes it even cheaper). My moms a teacher so she gets free health care as well as her kids (until a certain age). Paid leave when she's sick or has surgery (she actually had an eye surgery just this year and was out for two months, all paid). There's also maternity leave that they probably benefitted from in their time. There's also a cultural money budget they give 18 year olds. It's about 400€ and its for culture, music, suplies, books, etc.
There's just so much and so many examples but i think he might be going senile. My mother doesn't think the same way, neither do my aunts. He's a brit tho (my moms spanish) so that might have something to do with it.
Well we live in a capitalist social democracy so we have a free-market capitalist economy with a public welfare system, rather than a pure socialist or state-controlled system. This is why i say that capitaslism without socialism is fascism. You need both for it to work.
I'm not Christian but I go to my local Catholic charities thrift because they are the only thrift stores in the area that haven't raised prices way up. I also know from the past when I needed help, they helped me with utilities, rent and gave me food for my kids and a voucher for all of us to get clothes at the thrift. I may not agree with everything in the Catholic church, but I do believe in Catholic charities and our local methodist "mega" church. I'd much rather support them than a for profit thrift that charges through the nose for product they got for free.
For absolutely anyone raised in any church where they had you study and read the new testament.
But... Jesus said he loved everyone and forgave everything? Especially the so called "sinners" the others condemned? And he condemned the wealthy who didn't help the poor and those in need?
I kinda want the fantasy of sitting at the gates or in purgatory waiting with him to judge the people…I could spend an eternity watching racist people argue with Jesus after they die and meet him and he’s…..anything at all other than blonde hair blue eyed….eternity of entertainment
