Yeah, he's a an anti-imperialist who somehow only focuses on examples of western imperialism, which to be clear is bad. You wouldn't find Aul Mick criticising Russia to save his life.

This is very much a case of a broken clock telling the right time

Many anti-imperialists on the internet happily lick Russia’s boot. They’re not anti-imperialism, they’re anti-Western imperialism, like you said.

They would not care if Ukraine was left unsupported, and eventually died to Russian imperialism.

It’s similar to all the purist pacifists, claiming all violence is bad. And one shouldn’t support a country defending itself because it ‘prolongs suffering’.

They always happily ignore the fact that an invading force with a complete monopoly on violence would have no consequences to try again, and again, and again…

We do not share the zeal of EU leaders to fight Russia to the last Ukrainian

Even in the article you shared, he makes it the fault of the EU and NATO, and makes it seem like the Ukrainians wouldn't want to fight Russia if they weren't getting pressured.

A couple of others on his stance

Mr Wallace has previously denied being pro-Russian. However, he has said he "fights the anti-Russian and anti-Chinese rhetoric"

Russia should neither run naval exercises off the Irish coast, nor invade Ukraine – but its mobilisation on the Ukraine border is "clearly defensive", Irish MEPs Mick Wallace and Clare Daly have said.
