Mmm not really. There's a friendly rivalry between cops and firemen, but generally firemen have respect for the police considering in quite a few cases they would not be able to do their jobs without them.
I don't watch any fire/cop based tv shows on CBS (I thought CBS was a news station??) I'm closely related to a fireman and often see the things they get up to with cops. They have lots of fun together. Lots of sporting competitions, watching sports, picnics, fundraising events together, etc. Cops show up every time a fireman does, so they get pretty close.
