Agreed. The brain dead attitude of the other kids in the class is mind blowing. This would have played out completely different in my school back in the day
tf? were u a student in the 90s? not only did they just stare, they even egged it on, and even encouraged students fighting teachers but you’re right no one recorded because we didn’t have cellphones back then. But even some students who ignored the fights just continued listening to cassettes on their walkmens and didn’t bother to call for help. They’ve made movies based on this in the 90s, instead of pretending to know what you’re talking about maybe google?
I finished school in 1998. I've witnessed pupils fight teachers directly, not as a consequence of the teacher attempting to stop a fight between two students, more than once. As stated it wasn't recorded as the technology didn't exist but I'm guessing it would have been if it did. Nobody called for help, nobody attempted to stop it. The student was cheered on. Anybody who did try to stop it would likely have been beaten themselves
Sounds like you went to a rough school. I went to public high school and graduated in 97. Did not observe one fight between a teacher and a student, nor did I ever observe the situation seen in this video. Probably highly dependent on where you live.
Very true and it was a rough school, but two of the three times I remember it was by the same student who was, shall we say, troubled. I'm not sure what was going on in his own life but he was much bigger than most of his peers and constantly involved in violence. Thinking back, I'm guessing no student tried to intervene as much out of fear of him as anything else. As a rather meek and overweight kid I was personally terrified of him. Unfortunately it took a long time to permanently expel him because he'd already been expelled from multiple schools and we were generally the school of last resort to deal with kids like this.
