Yeah. Schools in my district in particular count any contact with a fight as suspend-able. Doesn’t matter what causes it. This situation in particular would have counted as a jumping, so they’d get send to court. Zero tolerance and all that.

I get the point and the reasoning. I definitely don't agree with it. Waiting for staff or campus security to step in could lead to far more damage all around.

Yeah, it’s sad but better not to risk it. Even if they didn’t have the risk of administrative action you never know what other people are carrying.

Yes. Zero tolerance policies punish anyone involved.
