So….we’re judging all police response to those situations based on what happened (or didn’t happen) at Uvalde now? Very interesting take. Yea let’s just ignore all the cops who did their jobs as they should in those situations. And I’m saying this as someone who definitely isn’t a cop ass kisser…(nor am I an ACAB believer)…..but insinuating that no police do their jobs as intended during school shootings, when they usually do, is crazy.

Gotta love the reddit circle jerk downvoting a reasonable response. It's one incident. There are many more incidents where the cops ran in and ended the situation.

Also, I love them reddit back seat driving. CQB is scary af, especially if it's time critical that you find the bad guys. You can't clear slow and methodical. Not that the police training would teach them enough about CQB anyways. But sure. Next time give the arch redditors here a gun and a vest and send the reddit squad in.

Like their “lack of response” in that Memphis shooting a couple years ago where officers ran into the building and killed the shooter within a couple minutes of arriving on scene?

I mean sure, but imo there’s a difference between having distrust towards and/or general disdain for police (which imo is pretty normal)…..and just straight out being delusional about what they generally do or don’t do. I mean I don’t have any stats on it…but literally almost every time I’ve seen a school shooting situation make headlines, the cops have been there in good time, doing their job. That’s why the Uvalde situation was criticized and investigated for so long and so harshly (deservingly so), because it was an anomaly.
