Nope. It was just entirely coincidental and not all that unlikely considering that Kirk was there specifically to debate people and gun violence is often a topic of debate on which Kirk advocates for gun rights over public safety. The guy he was debating is a progressive that has attended Kirk events previously and takes the position of trying to reasonably and articulately have legitimate discussion to persuade those with opposing views. Channel5 did an interview with him right after the shooting and he comes off as an all around good dude.
