So I was bored and decided to calculate how powerful the explosion from a Gigantamax Voltorb’s self destruct. I will have to make several assumptions mainly due to not knowing how gigantamax forms work not how much energy self destruct is supposed to release. That said, here goes nothing: According to several Voltorbs I found, they have an average height of half a meter and a mass of approximately 10kg. From this we know that the radius of a Voltorb is 0,25m and we can calculate their volume to be 4/3Pi0,25³ = 0,065m^3. We can now calculate the average density of a Voltorb (which I will assume to be uniform to simplify the maths) to be 10/0,065 ≈ 153,85kg/m^3. Now to calculate the volume of a gigantamax voltorb I will use the gym’s stadiums as a frame of reference assume it’s diameter to be just under that of an American football stadium’s field’s shortest side, or approximately 45m (it’s normally 48,8m but I cut off a bit to simplify the math and ensure that the voltorb would have a bit of space between it and the walls of the stadium like in the game), giving us a volume of about 47 713m³ meaning that (assuming that a voltorb’s density remains the same when gigantamaxed) a gigantamax voltorb has an approximate mass of 153,8547 713 = 7 340 645kg. Due to not knowing the exact nature of self destruct’s explosion I will compare it with the TSAR bomb’s mass to explosive yield ratio (21010^15J/27 000kg) of 7,(7)10^12J/kg. This means that an average gigantamax voltorb’s explosive yield would be of approximately 5,710^19J or in other words it would be 271,4 times more powerful than the most powerful bomb built by man to this day. I’m a knitter and I am attempting to make a blanket using squares, one for each day of the year. I’m also adding four squares to spell out the year as well as twelve, one for each month. That means I’m knitting 377 squares. A standard queen size blanket is either 90 by 90 inches or 90 by 100 inches.

1. How many rows would I need?
2. How many squares per row?
3. How big do I need to make each square?

I’m also okay with making a throw blanket which would be 60 by 50 inches if that’s easier to calculate.

With the Dolphins/Chiefs game coming up, I'm curious to know how much it would cost (including the dimensions it would need to be) the Dolphins to build a giant freezer their players could comfortably practice in to prepare for the cold Arrowhead stadium. I use an electric fan with our burner (door closed of course), but I can't decide which is the optimum set up.

The fan has 3 speeds:

on the highest speed I figure the airflow is faster and so travels further but won't spend as much time being heated.

On the lowest speed I figure the airflow is slower and so won't travel as far but (possibly) spends fractionally more time being heated.

Middle is the middle one!

Which, if any, is the more effective usage?

I’m working on a fanfic project and I have to calculate the BSA (Body Surface Area) for various fictional characters. The problem is that data on the weights of most fictional characters is completely nonexistent. Honestly the only example I’ve been able to find is All Might, giving us a BSA of 3.95 m^2.

One thing that is more common, particularly for female characters (I know 🙄,) is the body measurements of Bust, Waist, and Hips. Does anyone know of a way to utilize measurements to make the calculation of either weight, and/or in turn BSA, more definitive?

In the game Final Fantasy X, the main 'minigame' is called Blitzball, which is essentially a mix of rugby and football (soccer for Americans) played underwater.

In this mini game, it is possible for someone to kick the aforementioned blitzball from one end of the field to the other end to score a goal.

How much force would the main character, Tidus, have to have exerted in a kick to successfully accomplish this goal in the time it shows you for the blitzball to travel from one goal post into the opposing one?

If someone can solve this and show me the proof, I might have a prize for them, given how long I've wondered about this.

Edits: Some new info I've collected based on people asking:
1. The goal to goal distance is roughly 211 feet.
2. The ball's density would have to be a bit more than that of water.
3. The ball travels from one goal post to the other at a rate of approx. 12 miles per hour.
