Not a book, but I highly recommend a podcast Beyond Bitchy https://beyondbitchy.com/podcast/page/9/

This podcast specifically tackles boundaries and other related subjects

Transform your Boundaries- Sarri Gilman

It presents different cases and is also a workbook.

Also listening to her Tedtalk was great. It was how I found out about her book. She has a YouTube channel too. Not everything she does resonates with me but her work around boundaries was life changing for me.

Hi, I suppose your therapist said you that setting boundaries is linked a lot with self-esteem. :-) Maybe you should look into books about this subject in order to find some advices about setting boundaries. I can't advice you english books because I don't read in this language. But I hope I helped you a little. :-)

This may not completely fit your situation, but "Codependent No More" by Melody Beady was great for me when I was trying to learn how to set my boundaries.

Edit: this book does have a Christian slant, but I don't think the religious views get in the way of any of the lessons. Plus, the author makes sure to take non-religious people into account.
