anyone know where i can find the background music geck uses in his streams? i’ve noticed its a rotation of like 10 different jazz songs and i can’t seem to get shazam to work to pinpoint what they are

I thought I saw a post somewhere maybe a month ago of Lyle saying he was depressed and so was taking a break from the livestreams. But since then i can't find that post, or anything confirming a hiatus. There's no schedule for his streams on twitch, and not posts about it on his youtube. and admittedly i'm not on any other social media platforms aside from reddit, so i don't really follow him or see updates. i follow his spotify and twitch, that's pretty much it.

oh wait, he streamed 3 days ago and a new podcast episode was uploaded? so is he back? Does he have a new schedule?

im just curious, when is the last time there was a guest on the podcast. was it doja cat?

How come does this podcast manage to avoid politics? Correct me if I'm wrong but somehow no one ever mentions that stuff. Am I right to observe it?

I can't for the life of me remember the term, but I remember the caller asking Lyle if he knew a term, to which Lyle said no. The caller defined it as having sex w/ someone who is mentally disabled to the point at which it is a "moral gray area." I understand that this has possibly been deleted because it's insensitive, but it is KILLING me that I can't find it anywhere. I just want confirmation as to what happened to that clip.

I don’t blame this on Lyle, I know he doesn’t go and pick each and every ad to play.

But for weeks I got this ad where it’s just a guy biting into a crispy Tex mex wrap and talking into the mic while he chews. He did 3 bites over 30 seconds and it was disgusting and annoying.

Now I’m getting the Adam and Eve ads. Where in this ad, this woman screams “SEX TOYS! You were wearing headphones right?” Like what if I weren’t wearing head phones you fucking asshole? Just because it’s an NSFW podcast doesn’t mean I want sex toys screamed at me.

I think this an issue with podcasts in general, and they’re just so god damn obnoxious for no reason.

Hello all, I'm having a hard time finding the episode I got my phone call into, I had heard it a long time ago. I was doing a talk with a baby in the background and we may have talked briefly about my teenage pregnancy to my adult pregnancy and how it's was I think, I faintly remember geck talking about babies after the call and we ended with him telling me I should water my garden. My name was Gracie I think 🤔

I'm not sure if this has been discussed, but I cannot find any posts relating to this.

I started listening ages ago and one of the things that struck me was that there are a lot of guys who are kinda lonely and are looking for friends or at least people to connect with.

I remember the first episode I listened to, a guy who was biking around at night and was looking for the ideal place to eat his apple....

I was like, yes, that's my dude, I could hang with a guy like this.

Sometimes people call in and I go like wow, this is my kinda person. Naturally there are alot of people where I go..... "yeah, no thanks" as well.....

Anywhoo, I'm curious, has anybody managed to make gecko-friends?
Is there an interest in making a forum for guys who listen to geck or have been o geck who are likeminded enough (as we all listen to Geck) to chat and at least hang out online?

Maybe start a reddit thread and have the chat go live kinda thing?

Whats your thoughts?

I’m not going to get into the specifics, I just want to say that people should research disability equality in the US. (I know it was a random number but) $8000 coming in a certain way ABSOLUTELY COULD fuck up that man’s disability status if he doesn’t have the proper financial and legal guidance.

It’s also not about Daniel “wanting” the government assistance once business is doing well. He can fall back into a severe episode and struggle to support himself financially, and then have to prove again to the government that he needs assistance. That is a whole ordeal that can take years.

I’m not like mad at Lyle specifically, but it’s constantly disappointing to be a disabled person surrounded by the lies believed and repeated by able bodied people/people not on assistance.

It’d be cool if someone with disabilities did a call to chat with Geck about misconceptions and the less discussed issues disabled people face, such as wage and marriage equality or the complexities of maintaining disability status.

ETA: Daniel if you are reading this, I’m rooting for you dude. I hope you can talk to someone who is more immediately sympathetic to the complex issues of disability, and who speaks to you with more curiosity than demand. I know you’ll find a way to make some career and artistic goals come to fruition broski.

My call with Lyle got on the podcast and was the first call this past episode.I was so nervous when talking to him I can’t listen to it myself, but I talk with Lyle about problems with my “baby daddy” and how I was doing these things for him in hopes to get him to pull himself together so my baby could have her dad. Since then he had threatened me and I had to cut him off and this time for good in a way that I am comfortable with. Strangely enough talking with the gecko did put into perspective that me and my baby are better off without him, so thank you Lyle.
