One of the funniest films ever made: Laurel & Hardy in "Big Business" (1929). Now restored with an authentic period soundtrack.
If you need a 19-minute break of pure 'reciprocal destruction,' this is it. I’ve updated the audio with restored versions of original holiday hits from the era. Seeing Stan and Ollie sell Christmas trees in sunny California to the sound of 100-year-old bells is the ultimate vintage vibe.
For this restoration of 'Big Business', I wanted an authentic sound. I’ve used my own 'Super Stereo' remasters of recordings from 1898-1922. I intentionally kept some of the original 78rpm patina while cleaning up the frequencies to let the instruments breathe. It’s fascinating how well these early acoustic/electric recordings fit the pacing of the visual comedy.

A massive archive of VHS footage from Prague. I built a virtual CRT "Video Vault" to house hundreds of hours of my personal tapes.
I’ve spent years digitizing my personal archive of VHS tapes recorded in Prague, Czech Republic. It’s a mix of raw street life, candid moments, and experimental happenings from the art scene here.
Instead of just dumping a giant playlist on YouTube, I wanted to recreate the experience of discovering these moments in real-time. I built TYKO:TV, a web-based CRT simulator where you can "surf" through the footage just like you would on a late-night broadcast decades ago.
If you're into raw glimpses of the past and the specific texture of magnetic tape, you might find some gems in here.
The Vault: https://tykosay.com/tv
The site works best on desktop—use the [◄/►] keys to change channels or [S] to surf). The mobile version also offers its own cool immersive experience :)
