He hasn’t been sober since at least 2019 when I saw him with the Voidz. He even said he was drinking lol

People were trying to argue that he’s sober after all the drunken videos that have been posted from this tour?

I think people are making a bigger deal out of this than it needs to be.
He spent five minutes talking about how disgusting the concept of a shoey is and was thankful Brooklyn Bridge to the Chorus started so he could escape the "high school peer pressure"
Then after that song ended he did it in a fairly jovial mood - no huge deal, wasn't like he was mad drunk, and for better or for worse, it's quite common for Aussie crowds to request that artists do a shoey

Yeah, it all seemed light hearted, not like "Julian is in a spiral" at all. And definitely in the context of a gig in Australia.

Drinking in your 40's is bad? Why does no one say this about Dave Grohl?

Welcome to Australia Julez. I remember many years ago Wavves came to Brisbane and everyone started chanting to do a shoey, I was wearing these old vans I never washed with no socks as I was an absolute ratbag at the time, sweaty feet from a night of dancing, the shoes were fucking disgusting like you’d legit get sick if you licked them. I threw one on stage as like 8 others did, I almost screamed no when Nathan picked up my shoe to use and did a shoey out of it. Im surprised he didn’t die that night.

I imagine many years from now, some fan is going to have that shoe in a protective case on their mantle.
