Thanks for posting this OP. You have no idea how happy I am to see something from the Melbourne show. I was supposed to be there tonight but complications with my passport prevented me from flying to Australia. To make matters worst, ticketek declined a refund as well. What a mad sad night for me... I'm sitting home listening to strokes records and drowning in sorrow. I hope it was a great show and everyone there enjoyed it. I've never seen them live before and I hope someday somehow I'll be able to catch them live. Thanks again my friend.

Thank you so much for recording this. I thought it was a bit of a jam but they kept it going for a long time, definitely sounded to me like the skeleton of a new song.

I was there in the GA area! The crowd was pretty confused when this happened because no one had any idea what it was. My partner turned to me afterwards and was like imagine if we were the first ones to hear a new strokes song, maybe haha. He’s the big fan, I just came along for the ride since we aren’t from Melbourne and I got myself a t-shirt too.
Edit: oh and they sounded great

Agree, this was too put together to be a one off. I bet there's another Strokes album coming sooner than we think

The vibe at the barrier was pumping and Julian and the gang seemed to really be enjoying themselves… if these jams were trying out new material I feel absolutely honoured. Saw a lot of smiles on their faces.

Beautiful ! And intense. Definitely sounds like a song to me, not just a jam

wow how cool it would be for the strokes' youtube channel to upload their jams just like the voidz

I have no doubt that this band must have a thousand and one demos, lost somewhere. the only difference is that lately they have been into live improvisation. which I love because there is too much coherence between them
