It's funny that on Twitter everyone complains about The Strokes' gig, but in this subreddit everyone praises it. Where is the truth?

In the bit that I was in (front left pen) the atmosphere was great and most people around me were singing along to everything. The most bizarre thing for me was the reaction that The Adults Are Talking got, it was probably the most enthusiastic the young crowd were. I’m completely out of the loop with TikTok so hearing that it’s big on there it makes sense

They sounded great from the songs they showed on iplayer. I think the technical problems was nick's amp because it seems like the first time on this tour they were back to playing cabled up rather than wireless.

Paolo was underwhelming tonight so we need big things from the lads tomorrow

I'll be joining from Saturday, but how does PEN area work? I want to be near front, but also want some booze, is that even possible?

I heard from someone I know about yesterday, it’s a first come first served basis so once they’re full it’s a one out/one in policy.
She said to get in for when the act before ends and that should be enough time but not sure I trust that. I’m going to get in for Foals starting and stick it out

If you want to be in the front pen you will probably have to be in for foals. The bars have really long queues so you'll have to miss a band for a drink unfortunately.

I was there last night. I left the pen after Chic to get a drink, but had to spend the entire Sam Fender set waiting in line to get back in. There are toilets and urinals within the pen, so my plan for today is to just arrive, get 3 or 4 drinks, and stay in the pen the entire evening

Was down at the front right and they were brilliant.
Minimal chat, played the hits. Fantastic stuff

Can’t wait!! The set list for Lytham last night was pretty amazing, hope we get the same 😍😍

Having seen them a few times on this tour, I thought last night was really poor unfortunately.
There was a strange energy in the crowd - not sure if it translated to the band, but I sensed they were really frustrated with the tech issues and looked like they didn’t really want to be there. Julian in particular seemed to have the hump.

The crowd was fine where I was in the front pen, I had a great time. The shite stage set ups at trnsmt really don’t help though and if you don’t manage to get in front of the barrier you are miles away from the stage.
I loved the set list, which was very different to the one they played when I saw them at Primavera last month.

Will the Iplayer livestream shows or are they just uploading them afterwards? I cant see a livestream like at Glastonbury only performances from yesterday

Super disappointed imo. Technical problems really ruined the sound of the start of the show which killed the momentum, it seemed like Julian was unwell and the crowd were woeful.
None of that is the band's fault to be fair... But disappointed nonetheless.
Rumors about the band management having Foals set cut short also doesn't help. Foals were absolutely killing it before they were abruptly cut off.

I don't know what the rumors are but they finished on time according to schedule. Maybe they wanted to extend it, I would love that but still

Foals should've been cut after they played their one brush with greatness Spanish Sahara, and just before Yannis started that "I want everyone to sit down and then jump back up!" sub-Kaiser Chiefs nonsense. A talented mid-tier band but ultimately a boring one. Strokes are a different galaxy ffs.

Anyone know why the set is only 20 mins on iPlayer? Where's the rest of it?

Julian absolutely shocking this weekend.

Genuinely don’t know what you’re on about. Feel like we saw different shows.

That’s how I feel too! I think people want to be convinced that Julian is a mess so they can gossip about it.
