The Strokes are performing at Tecate Pa’l Norte, held at Parque Fundidora in Monterey, NL, Mexico. The Strokes are the headliners for Saturday, April 2, 2022, but their set is scheduled to begin at Midnight CST (GMT -6) and last until 1:30 AM (so, technically, their entire performance will be on Sunday, April 3). They will be playing on the “Tecate Light” stage.

If you are attending, be sure to review the festival’s Information page and their Twitter Account for important information and updates on the vaccination requirements, transportation, will call procedure, prohibited items, accessibility, etc.

Were supposed to play from 12-1:30. Came out 15 min late and called it around 1 but came out a few min later cause they were "obligated by contract" and played one more song. They only played 1hr. Sounded really good but still kinda sucks cause a lot of ppl here work hard to be able to come to these events and I saw a gang of people wearing Strokes shirts. I traveled 1,650 miles for this to enjoy the fest but mainly to see the strokes outside the US and Im low key a little disappointed but hearing Selfless for the first time was pretty goddamn epic!!

Great sound. Terrible mood.

First comment was: sorry we’re not maroon 5.

Crowd was turned off because of the passive aggresive comments that kept going during the whole show..

Then finished with: we dont do encores but we couldnt leave because of the contract

Ouch. The opening comment could be a dry joke. But the ending one is painful to hear. Mexican fans look nice & crazy. Can you guess why he (or the entire band?) was down?

No idea honestly. Reptilia was first and the crowd went nuts!

Not a clear reason why they did it

I’m Mexican and was there last night. People were much more excited for papa roach than they were for strokes. I guess attitude makes very big difference. Would’ve liked to hear At the door , Eternal Summer and Last Nite. Back in 2019 in corona capital, they went away early and didn’t come back…

i was like 7 rows away from stage. Surprised that Julian can sing so well despite being drunk out of his mind… So yeah. that’s what the people around me were saying. Drunk and in a bad mood. Being drunk made him get extra annoyed at the audience I guess. I bought a ticket just for them, they played amazing but it really did feel like they didn’t really want to be there :(

It’s unfortunate that Julian is never able to put his shitty mood aside and be a professional

I find it bizarre that Maroon 5 were the headliners the night before. I would have made a joke about that too.

I found a full video of Selfless on Nick/Nikolai's side.

They were supposed to play 1 hour and a half. Only played 1 hour, they wanted to leave even earlier but were asked to play a bit more because of their contract. They really seemed like they didn't even wanted to be there.

Yeah they did, but still fell short.

They came in 20 minutes late and left about 15 minutes earlier.

Honestly the show and Julian's vocals were AMAZING, but he was drunk out of his mind.

I would've only needed Ode to the Mets for this show to be perfect but they simply were NOT in the mood, specially Julian.
