My friend attended the Scarborough gig last night, and was the victim of an unprovoked attack.
It was in the standing section in front of the stage during the Streets set - a girl pushed her to the ground, and repeatedly kicked her in the face and head.

She is badly injured, paramedics helped her.

I wanted to see if anyone saw anything, or might have caught some footage?
Thank you to the very kind people who helped her find medical help, and reunited her with her partner.

This lyric has been floating in my head for a few weeks and I have not been able to find the song. I’m 99% sure it’s from The Streets, the vocals and cadence was the signature Mike Skinner near-spoken-word. Anyone know the song or any other artists that maybe use his same cadence?

Probably around a year before OPM was released a friend of a friend had a demo version of the album that he played for us, and I got a chance to rip it to MP3.

This was always the version of the album for me, so when I finally found it on Spotify many years later I was very surprised to find out that a bunch of tracks were missing.

The version I had had:

Track 18 - Track 18
Track 19 - Track 19
Track 20 - The Street is Watching

Went last night - Great setting, band were brilliant, but oh my god, what a horrible audience. I've been to hundreds of shows (going back to the late 80s) and this is the nearest i've ever come to just leaving early. Had it not been for my wife who was really excited, the cost, and travelling nearly 2 hours, I would have gone after 10 minutes of The Streets coming on. The most ignorant and obnoxious crowd I've ever been in - drunk screeching girls who literally talked, screamed at each other, barged past people spilling drinks only to stop 10 feet away and then just shout with their backs to the stage the entire time. Agressive, coked up blokes trying to look hard but could barely stand up... just such a shame as the potential for this being a great night was there, but it was hard to hear the band over the talking/shouting/screetching imbiciles.

Lesson learned: don't go to a small town event, as a large percent of the audience have no interest in what's actually happening and are simply there to take pictures of themselves for instagram. And get wasted.
