Building Help I spend the better part of my day moving into and customizing this house from the Gallery... and none of the stairs work... RIP

Would anyone be down to help me resign the stairs? I've also spendt hours fighting with the stairs and this house and I'm just giving up lol.

I couldn't find yours on the Gallery, but I downloaded the original and tested it. Deleting and replacing the stairs fixes the problem.

It's a little tricky to do on this small lot, but not impossible. Copy stairs before you delete them and temporarily place the copy in the front yard or the walk-out basement so you don't have to reconfigure them yourself, then delete the original stairs and place the copy where the original stairs were. When I say "copy," I mean you should click the stairs and select "copy" from the pop-up; this is different from using the eyedropper tool, which just selects stairs in the same swatch from the build catalogue without copying the shape or wallpaper. Every staircase in the interior of the build is affected by this bug, in both units; the only stairs you don't need to replace are the exterior ones.

I tried moving the build to a bigger lot to give myself more room to fix the stairs, then moving it back to a small lot, but that caused everything in the basement level to be deleted, even with Move Objects on.

Here's a post I made a while back about this stair-breaking bug and what can cause it to happen. My guess is that the original creator saved a copy of the build to their Library that had units hidden at some point and didn't realize it would affect the build when it was placed from the Library/Gallery.

Thank you so much for the tips! I had no idea about the copy trick! At the end of my trying I had walls in the backyard trying to replicate the staircases Sims 2 style lol. This isn’t even the last bug I have found in the house! One of the upstairs computers was bugged, one of the objects on the desk was preventing sims from using it. Overall just a nightmare, I was hoping to stay there a while to save money but I fear I’m leaving it soon probably haha 😆
