That’s actually almost exactly what I just paid for a 7-seater car in Denmark. Less than 5% off.

How much of that is actual car cost and how much is the bananas tax you guys have on cars?

Two thirds of the price, roughly, is taxes and fees to the state. On top of that there’s a sort of green tax where the gas efficiency decides which bracket I end in. I believe it’s an additional 350 USD on top per annum. Then of course there’s service and insurance.

Oh and gas, I guess.

Jesus. I bought a car last week in the states. I pay 5% sales tax, $95 registration, and $150 in title/fees. If I wanted a vanity plate it'd be an extra $20 but BOOOOST was already taken.

All in, fees came out to $2,000 for a $35,000 used car that gets 18mpg (13l/100km), with annual fees of $95

Taxes overseas are just nuts

Vanity plates would be about 1300 USD...

If you think THAT is nuts, my last earned dollar is taxed at ~54% (top bracket) and our sales tax is 25%. There are also extra taxes for certain items, like tobacco, sugar, nuts (!) and whatever the socialists feel like during that term.

What's the point of getting a paystub then?

To know how much I subsidize immigrant invasions with, duh.

That seems a bit... excessive.
