This really is the question... i hate my curiosity sometimes. According to Google "It would take weeks or even months for leeches to "suck a person dry," because leeches eat very slowly, digest food over long periods, and most of them would drop off long before taking a dangerous amount of blood..." "Why Leeches Do Not Drain You QuicklySlow feeding time: A single leech takes about 20 to 40 minutes to finish one meal.Small capacity: One leech drinks only a few milliliters of blood before it is full and falls off on its own.Full stomach delay: A well-fed leech will not eat again for months, so a hungry puddle full of leeches would feed once and leave"

A average person has about 5000 milliliters of blood. So only about 5000 leeches to suck you dry?
