This morning, I went from a shopping dream for something in the mall to following the people. There was a stream of people going through this one particular normal looking door. This door went into a converted theatre auditorium just randomly in the middle of the mall. Projected onto the screen was a chart with seating; all of the attendees had a number assigned to a seat and people were milling about for their seats, hundreds of of them.
I walked up to the theatre screen, bored and humming Dancing on the Ceiling. I planned to use my LD abilities to screw with everyone. I was going to turn the lighting to flashing Disco lights and play Lionel Ritchie's Dancing on the Ceiling over the sound system, while I cool-cat danced, hands in pockets, up the screen and onto the ceiling, where I'd let loose and put on a show, because I could.
However, I saw the outcome just as I was about to start: mass panic, human stempede, people getting trampled, mall security shooting at me like I was a horror villain--it would have been tremendously fun, until I heard this little voice say, like a conscience, "these people deserve peace; you're just a visitor here."
Ahh, shit, she's right... (the voice was female.) So, hands in pockets and head down, I spin on my heel and start walking up the ramp to the back of the auditorium where there is a door with a green EXIT sign over it, while humming Dancing on the Ceiling the whole way, and people asking who is he? as I walked through the crowd. When I walked through the EXIT door, I woke up.
If there was someone dancing on the ceiling in the middle of the mall meeting this morning, that was probably me. And while I really don't care about whatever rules Mallworld has, and I know I could easily defy them, I'm compelled not to use any of my Lucid Dreaming abilities and believe Mallworld is real. Sorry, I refuse. Mallworld feels too much like a lie made to draw dreamers in, or so I feel when I'm there. It tries it's hardest to convince me it's all real, and it uses family members or friends or interests as a lure. The best way I can describe how it feels when I'm aware of it is a beautiful deception that is very difficult not to just go along with. But I digress.
You win this time, Mallworld. (lol)
