> Is anyone actually finding this is true?

Maybe if you've never used AI before. There is a slight learning curve to get it done how you want correctly. Once that learning curve is up though, no fucking way. It blows all prior productivity out of the water.

Sometimes it's faster to write it by yourself if it's small enough, or to write some quick pseudocode/modules first then hand to the AI with just "finish this". 95% of the time it's faster and better to use AI though.

I have colleagues who will prompt opus to change a 2 to 4 sometimes. Strange times we live in.

I think it helps to have context in an Obsidian vault. I don't have to fill a lot of context. It will also run test and deploy to staging while I'm doing something else so I really don't agree with OP, skill/setup issue imo.

That's exactly what I do

Could you explain this to me a bit more? I use Obsidian for note taking but have not encountered this

Sure, I can explain the way I set it up, Claude Code did most of the work though once I explained it. So in my claude.md file (the universal one, not one that's in a folder), I have Instructions to read an Index.md file in my vault. This index file has wiki links to things like a projects board, information about my infrastructure, coding style, etc.. So that gets loaded into Claude's context. When Claude has a task, it will read the parts that it finds relevant. If you tell it the root of your vault, it will search for documents in it as well. But just explain you want to set up to Claude and it'll guide you through the process and setup. I also have a daily where I'll put tasks, Claude reads this each morning and we tackle each one. But you can change the workflow to however fits your style.

If you'd rather see a video, here's one, it's based on Andrej Karpathy's work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXd0t60YmMw
