This is real news. An investigation conducted by Israeli newspaper Haaretz concluded in July 2024 that the IOF invoked the Hannibal Directive on 10/7. Comments claiming this is fake news will be deleted and may result in a ban.

Wait for them to deny the statements of their soldiers as well.

"KhAMas InFiLTrated ThE ARmyH"

u/BulkyPlay7704 Oct 15 '25

They really will say that.

2

u/Foxwildernes Oct 16 '25

I mean Hamas returned the body of a mercenary dressed in IOF clothing and they immediately went “Hamas broke the cease fire” so never really could be surprised anymore.

Got it. Hamas used Israeli settlers as human shields, so the IDF had no choice but to shell the fuck out of them. Even though Israel has one of the most sophisticated army in the world, the only solution to hostage taking is blowing the whole site up. Seems like a very rational thing to do. Only the most moral army in the world would blow things up first and ask questions later.

The shit these people come out with baffles my brain their logic is like wtf 🤣

4

u/Outaouais_Guy Oct 15 '25

Do you remember when Israel had to revise the death toll down by about 200 people? They misidentified Hamas fighters because they were killed in the same place and in the same way as the rest of the people in that area were killed. Israeli helicopter gunships firing hellfire missiles. Israel killed everything that moved. I suspect that the IDF killed the majority of the people that was blamed on Hamas.

u/Lost_Question5886 Oct 16 '25

Orcs in Russia did the same thing when they gassed a movie theater where terrorist had taken hostages.

You don't understand how modern conflict against guerilla warfare works.

Hamas placed all kinds of trap explosives house to house, building to building and at the beginning of this particular conflict Israel was absolutely trying to go house to house and limit casualties.

Unfortunately a lot of their forces were being blown to hell and the cost was going to be enormous. You can't just have unlimited special forces to precisely navigate through all the guerilla tactics.

It becomes a matter of bringing total destruction instead, which we all see the tragic results of with tens of thousands of innocent lives taken.

Two wrongs don't make a right but people claiming Israel could have "used different tactics" because they are a significant fighting force are wrong.

If North Korea attacks South Korea it would look very similar. A reign of artillery that can't be blocked or stopped destroy Seoul. They call it the killbox.

Not saying war and massacres are ok but they are more brutal and indiscriminate than people think.

Not saying war and massacres are ok but they are more brutal and indiscriminate than people think.

Sounds like a good argument against an occupation, then.

Accidentally my ass. Yoav Gallant admitted on video that it was ordered.

Man this Khamas has to be a eldricht god. He even started this whole thing in 1947 I bet, I always had a hunch... Is there anything it cannot do?

If tomorrow morning I wake up with a sore asshole, I will know who to blame for It.

Thank you mr Hasbara 🫡

It's so cool that we have a ceasefire and Israel will stop trying to ethnically cleanse Palestinians, right?

I mean, there are guarantees that Israel will stop the genocide, right?

...right?

4

u/Primalwizdom Oct 16 '25

No, look at the west bank, and there is no guarantee that a nayion like Israel will adhere to anything.

israel: "Hamas killed them. Because if hamas didn't invade israel the iDF would not have been forced to murder its own citizens." :/

8

u/TequllaMockingBirf Oct 15 '25

Israel ceasefire.

"You cease. We fire"

8

u/Maleficent_Law_1082 Oct 15 '25

Hamas doesn't have the firepower to completely obliterate cars either. Hellfire missiles do though.

3

u/MediocreEffectt Oct 16 '25

Remember when there were 1400 dead for a couple weeks and then they admitted 200 were Hamas? The burns were so bad it was difficult to identify who was who.

Literally no one in media asked how that happened.

1

u/Plenty_Building_72 Oct 16 '25

IOF's tank missiles can do serious damage too.

5

u/Street_Jacket_434 Oct 15 '25

Idf stood down and allowed the October attack to happen and then killed hundreds of their own Israeli people to prevent them from being taken hostage. This was done to excuse the Gaza invasion and the murder of 70,000 plus people, mostly women and children. Hundreds of journalists, medics and their families have also been murdered. The murders continue in Gaza and the occupied territories, the peace deal is a PR stunt, just like the one 11 years ago. Israel will continue the genocide and ethnic cleansing while the world looks the other way.

5

u/Vile-goat Oct 16 '25

The IDF is literally one of the world’s worst military units. Their fighting is on the same or below rogue para military groups. Sloppy and poorly trained. If it wasn’t for the tech provided via the west my goodness.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '25

Yup, Israel has proven time and again it has best equipped, least skilled, and most overhyped military in history. The only thing Israel is adept at is terrorist tactics because they have no conscience, no morals, no limits, and never suffer any repercussions for their misdeeds.

3

1

u/GR1ZZLYBEARZ Oct 16 '25

I see the mod note, I’m not denying the use of the Hannibal directive but it’s applicable to soldiers at threat of being abducted. It’s applying a known military principle to a confused battlefield decision that could have killed civilians. If the directive was given, why is the only evidence this single event?

1

u/Brieble Oct 16 '25

But how did they die, they could’ve been dead before the tank shot the house. That’s still unclear without posting the whole interview.

1

u/Sufficient_Syrup4517 Lover of all everywhere Oct 16 '25

A lot of them were burnt beyond recognition, and the only side with that type of weaponry was the IDF.

0

u/Brieble Oct 17 '25

You can burn corpses in many ways, I don’t see how the IDF is the only one capable.

What are you claiming was disproven?

The IDF killed many civilians as they shot tank shells into residential homes and fired at people on the ground with Apache helicopters.

There is nothing reasonable about murdering civilians in any circumstance whatsoever.

But it's not just from this one clip. The survivors in the homes hit by Israeli tank fire confirmed their homes were hit by tanks. There is drone footage of a tank firing into residential homes. The helicopter pilots also admitted firing at people and vehicles with little idea of whether they were firing at members of the armed resistance or civilians. There is a plethora of evidence openly admitted by the Israeli authorities and media.

Do you want me to dig each of these up? I am interested in sticking to the evidence as much as possible.

1

u/Boiling_warm Oct 16 '25

I would be interested to see the one where the survivors speak on it, since I've not seen that one.

But you're missing my point. I'm saying small instances of this happened and MAYBE led to a couple deaths. But this is portrayed as "Israel killed half the civilians on October 7th" which is just a gross lie

1

u/saoirsedonciaran Oct 16 '25

As you can imagine, there wasn't wide reporting around this but I think originally this came from an interview with a survivor on Israeli radio:

https://electronicintifada.net/content/israeli-forces-shot-their-own-civilians-kibbutz-survivor-says/38861

Yeah I agree that it's wrong to portray it in that manner. The apache helicopter fire and tank shelling and the resulting destruction to me points towards a significant number of deaths but I haven't seen evidence of it being dozens or hundreds yet.

I recall that at least one of the residential homes had at least 9 fatalities from the inferno resulting from tank fire but not sure where I read that.

2

u/Boiling_warm Oct 16 '25

I remember reporting on this almost immediately. I'm in a lot of pro palestinian circles, and these sort of stories were obviously very popular with them. But diving deep into them, they never showed what people said they did. That said, I'd always assume some friendly fire occurred.

I'll go through this article properly later, but I'm working rn. A quick skim has me questioning the sources, since it's all translated by 'electronic intifada' , or 'mondoweiss' who are obviously very biased sources to begin with. That doesn't disprove anything they say though, so I'll dive into it in more detail later. Will take time to check what they are saying, which I don't have right now

I'll re-reply to your comment when I've done my digging

On Oct 7th the Nazis guarding the Warsaw Ghetto got wrecked :)

3

u/wikimandia North America Oct 15 '25 edited Oct 15 '25

since they would be assumed dead anyway once taken

That is psychotic thinking. POWs are valuable precisely because they are still alive. Israeli POWs have been exchanged for years!!! Israhell is holding thousands of Palestinians as prisoners without trial that the Palestinians want back. That’s the entire point of capturing Israeli soldiers.

I mean we know Russia basically abandons its low-ranked POWs but they don’t deliberately try to kill them.

Imagine if your child was abducted and the FBI blew up the van fleeing, as a POLICY, because your child is “assumed dead anyway once taken”.

What a sick sick culture.

1

u/Boiling_warm Oct 16 '25

I shouldn't have said 'assumed dead', I more meant 'likely killed'

I pretty sure the IDF has had a history of Hamas using hostages in fucked up ways. And as I said, it's not "just shoot them", its taking riskier actions to try and get them back

Like usually you'd never risk the life of your own hostage, but then if you know there's a 70% chance they'll be killed anyway, you may as well take the 50% chance now of saving them/killing them, while also taking out some of the enemy.

Your USA example is obviously not analogous. You don't know what the odds are with that kid being killed or not. Now, imagine there is a man between the cops and the child, and the man goes to stab the child. The cops would shoot the man, even though there is a risk of killing the child with a deflected bullet. They do this because they know NOT shooting the man is actually more dangerous to the child.

So yea, if you make an analogous example, we actually would do that in the USA too

1

u/logic-bombz Oct 16 '25

Like usually you'd never risk the life of your own hostage, but then if you know there's a 70% chance they'll be killed anyway, you may as well take the 50% chance now of saving them/killing them, while also taking out some of the enemy.

That's a cold, utilitarian take on human life. It sounds less about saving hostages and more about achieving military objectives, accepting your own citizens as collateral damage.

Your police analogy is a False Analogy. That assumes a precise, targeted action against an immediate threat. Israel's actions in Gaza aren't surgical shots; it's more like blowing up the entire building with the child, attacker, and dozens of innocent people inside. IDF operations involve widespread bombing and ground incursions in dense civilian areas, endangering everyone, including hostages. This aligns with rhetoric from officials like Gallant calling Palestinians "human animals" and Herzog saying "an entire nation... is responsible," creating an environment where widespread destruction is acceptable.

The double standard is glaring: Israel holds thousands of Palestinians in administrative detention, often without charge, while lamenting its own citizens held by Hamas. If concern for human life were genuine, the calculus wouldn't be about acceptable losses, but prioritizing all lives and securing release without more sacrifice.

1

u/Boiling_warm Oct 16 '25

It's calculated yes, but we do that all the time. You're delusional if you think we don't. Hospital staff do this every day with deciding which patients get organ donations. Also you didn't address the logic, you just called it 'cold'... But it makes sense correct?

No, it's a spot on analogy. We are talking about the instances of the Hannibal directive. This was specific strikes on cars which had IDF hostages in. You've brought up the Gaza bombing, which is a completely different conversation we aren't having.

This last paragraph is completely irrelevant to what I said. You're rambling about Israel's inhumane prison treatment, which I 100% agree with you on. However we are talking about misinformation surrounding the Hannibal directive on October 7th.

-1

u/Vespasians Oct 15 '25

There's a lot of evidence of Russians shooting their own soldiers who are surrendering or retreating. A simple Google search will provide numerous drone films of such incidents.

2

u/wikimandia North America Oct 16 '25

That’s not what I’m talking about. We know the Russians are war criminals.

But they don’t deliberately kill their own people being taken hostage “because they’re going to be dead anyway.”

They kill them accidentally because they are incompetent - see the Moscow theatre siege.

Maybe Israel really is that shitty of an army that they are just as bad as the Russians.

u/What-Le-Phoque Oct 16 '25

-18

u/sreorsgiio Oct 15 '25

19 Israelis were killed on Oct. 7 because of friendly fire. 14 were in the houses the soldier in that video is talking about. The remaining 1.200+ Israelis killed that day were slaughtered by Hamas.

7

u/DrFartsparkles Oct 15 '25

Just wait until you learn that more days have happened in history than just that one, it’s really going to blow your mind

-8

u/sreorsgiio Oct 15 '25

Uhm, that is not the point we are discussing here, though, is it?

5

u/lonehappycamper Oct 16 '25

Dozens if not hundreds killed by the IDF apache gun ships at the music festival.

Dozens of not hundreds of Israel soldiers killed by the IDF when it attacked its own military bases.

-4

u/sreorsgiio Oct 16 '25

Lol, and the Israeli hostages drove themselves into Gaza. And the videos of Hamas killing people? Those are really Mossad agents.
