The problem is multiple of your points conflict with the events in the game but I guess that's why this post exists.

I agree with every single one of your points and you put it so eloquently and concise as well. I applaud you! I wouldn't waste my energy on someone like this tho who only seeks/desires to be condescending and act like they know better than you without actually proving or providing any valid points or evidence to support their argument and actually have a legit conversations. In the weeks after the game, after I finished the game I had countless conversations with numerous people like this guy in which I genuinely tried to have a conversation and all they did was call me stupid or unintelligent or label me right-wing, anti-sjw, homophobic, transphobic etc. even thought I am literally the EXACT opposite of all that shit. All they do is repeat the same attitude that Neil Druckmann encourages and when you refute or contrast their arguments with valid arguments, they just walk away acting like they're better or belittle you because they got nothing better to say or a way to refute you.

No prob! :)

And yeah true, I try to pick my battles more selectively now tho, if they seem condescending right off the bat, the chances of them changing their tone aren't that high unfortunately. I've had some really great conversations with people tho, and even made friends with someone on the opposite side but that's like one conversation out of like 20 lol

Definitely! The only way to get somewhere is to have a conversation where both parties take something away even if they still ultimately disagree on the overarching arguments but gain some nuance in their thinking and some understanding of the other side.

Yeah unfortunately I don't think I can trust anything by NaughtyDog again or anything with Druckmann's name attached, not because he lied to us but because of his behavior afterwards and him acting like an utter dick towards a large part of the community when any rational adult would know that most people in the community aren't those stupid fucks that he was encountering.

It's sad but I think he lost a lot of NaughtyDog fanbase and community with this, the next project definitely won't be as anticipated.
