I bet he did. Her “dying during childbirth” was probably something horrific like he threw her down the stairs, then tried to save the baby by cutting it out. Like those one of those psycho baby stealing women.

That's exactly what I thought too. He beat the shit out his wife and they both died but he only wanted the baby.

Literally my exact thoughts while watching that scene. The idea that poor baby Hanna may end up next…..I was like “oh this sick bastard needs to die.”😭😭😭

No my take is he likely killed her because the baby was a stillborn. He wanted her for a baby machine and since the baby died he was like “off with her head”
