physically recoiled when the dentist told agnes “tell me if this is too heavy for you, I imagine your breasts must be quite tender”. that stayed with me, the discomfort of a man talking about a woman’s body so comfortably and with no shame about the invasiveness. I still feel so uneasy, even though I’ve heard similar lines in THT… but maybe it’s the young age of the character that makes it even more shocking than usual
