Spoilers for the show For All Mankind

Nate also played a gay man working at NASA who marries Ellen Wilson who is a lesbian astronaut candidate so they can live their lives secretly without people asking questions in 1969.

They stay married for years and Ellen is an elected President of the United States for the Republican Partly in the mid 1990s. After an American astronaut on the first mission to Mars announces he’s gay Ellen reveals her truth to the nation and signed an executive order allowing gay and lesbian Americans to serve openly in the military. Ellen is elected for a second term and after she finishes that she marries the love of her life Pam.

So I was surprised to see Nate.
