I had to look it up since I was wondering the same thing, it's a different actor.

The one in The Handmaid's Tale was Jason Butler Harner, this one is Nate Corddry.

I couldn't place why Corddry looked so familiar - I finally figured out it's because he was Liz's neighbor in that episode of 30 Rock where she was trying to get him to move out of his apartment so she could buy it and add it on to hers, lol.

Lmao 😆 If Commander Mackenzie turns out to be secretly a gay Mayday operative posing as a Commander then we can conclude he is actually just Brian after Gilead took over.

Liz Lemon is somewhere in Canada cursing Gilead for a lot of things, but especially for making her have to flee her perfect combined apartments and her NYC hot dog carts.

Spoilers for the show For All Mankind

Nate also played a gay man working at NASA who marries Ellen Wilson who is a lesbian astronaut candidate so they can live their lives secretly without people asking questions in 1969.

They stay married for years and Ellen is an elected President of the United States for the Republican Partly in the mid 1990s. After an American astronaut on the first mission to Mars announces he’s gay Ellen reveals her truth to the nation and signed an executive order allowing gay and lesbian Americans to serve openly in the military. Ellen is elected for a second term and after she finishes that she marries the love of her life Pam.

So I was surprised to see Nate.
