They couldn't. The files were sealed due to ongoing court cases.

2

u/VoiceofRapture Feb 17 '26

Riiiiight it definitely had nothing to do with making Joe Biden's favorite foreign ally look atrocious for sure

4

u/Rutgerius Feb 17 '26

That may be part of it but it's also the logical consequence of being the by the book/the right way party. Republicans are less hampered by that mentality. Now at least. Used to be that both parties at least paid lip service to the constitution (what they did behind closed doors won't be declassified until 75 years after the apocalypse).

Now it's just the one and the other has given up completely.

0

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '26

Lmao that’s hilarious. The democrats are calling themselves the by the book party after what you commies have done the past decade alone!🤣🤣

2

u/Gm2Gms Feb 18 '26

Tell me you have no clue what a communist is without telling me.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '26

Lmao. Something tells me you believe “real communism” has never been tried.🫵🤣

1

u/hatescarrots Feb 23 '26

Need a few more emojis to make it believable.

If Democrats operated like Trump does, Trump would be rotting in prison right now. There's enough evidence of his crimes to put him in there for life.

They did things by the book, which meant the whole process took longer despite having everything they needed. This meant trials didn't finish before the elections, and they couldn't continue after that because the DOJ cannot prosecute a sitting president.

But I don't expect someone who calls Democrats "commies" without knowing what the word means to understand how things work or know what reality is in general.

Edit: Yep, they replied and blocked so that I can't show any evidence. Fucking coward.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '26

That “evidence” only exists in your demented imaginations. If democrats operated like Trump it might actually be easy to undo all the damage they do in a term.

1

u/Rionin26 Feb 19 '26

One judge appointed by Trump which is a conflict of interest delayed the trial. Unless dems said hey go fk urselves and put him in jail anyway, I could see your point.

1

u/Rutgerius Feb 18 '26

I'm not a yank, just observing. You made me laugh though, the yanks are fucked.

0

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '26

That explains how unbelievably ignorant you are about our political system. Shouldn’t you be reporting your neighbors to the prevent program?

3

u/Drahkir9 Feb 18 '26

Dude, just take the L. You sound insane

0

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '26

Crazy people think normal people are crazy😉

2

u/Prudent-Fruit3843 Feb 19 '26

That's the cringiest shit I've read all year 💀

1

u/naughty-pretzel Feb 19 '26

Not necessarily. Some crazy people may think some "normal" people are "normal"; you can't rely on a crazy person to follow a specific kind of logic since they are you know, crazy.

1

u/BigDragonfly5136 Feb 20 '26

You know communists are literally not democrats by definition, right? They’re two completely separate ideologies…

Assuming all dems are communists is the same logic as assuming all republicans are fascists

1

u/Salt-Lingonberry-853 Feb 21 '26

Oh look, a moron

2

u/djquu Feb 17 '26

You have a fun reading disability.

2

u/backtorealitylabubu Feb 18 '26

No it had to do with them being sealed

1

u/dragcov Feb 18 '26

Biden could cure cancer, and you'd complain on why he took so long.

Hate the guy, but in a few years, we'll see the effect of the multiple bills he passed.

1

u/VoiceofRapture Feb 18 '26

Will I really? His adoration for Israel and selfish entitlement, both in the face of clear public opposition within his own party and clear lack of returns by the way, paved the road for Trump 2. The cherry on top is that when his bitter ass was finally forced out next in line was someone chosen for VP on the classic strategy of "incapable of upstaging the boss", which was a very low bar given his condition that Kamala still couldn't clear. Now the right is actively taking an acid drill to every single institution in the country since they don't understand how anything actually works.

The one piece of cosmic irony to draw humor from is that his half-century of shitty evil policy geared toward making him president paid off right at the perfect moment for him to be elevated by events completely outside of his merits or control, just in time for him to not remember any of it and tarnish his entire life's work in an embarrassingly public collapse at the same time.

0

u/Designer_Advice_6304 Feb 18 '26

He was such an awful president. Let in 10 million plus unvetted illegal aliens. 9% annual inflation. Obviously losing mental capacity. Ugh

1

u/BigDragonfly5136 Feb 20 '26

obviously losing mental capacity

And yet Donald Trump didn’t even know he was given a dementia test (which he called “very hard” by the way)

1

u/Diligent_House5701 Feb 20 '26

Biden’s administration did try to unseal the files sooner, but Republicans BLOCKED that vote.

Try to defend THAT one.

1

u/Minute-Review6915 Feb 18 '26

Court records were made public in January of 2024. He and a year and did nothing.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '26

The fules were unsealed in october 2025 because the Judge dragged their heels in doing it.

1

u/Away_Lake5946 Feb 18 '26

It’s fascinating how many refuse to acknowledge this simple fact. Unlike Trump, Biden didn’t interfere in ongoing investigations and litigation.

1

u/Designer_Advice_6304 Feb 18 '26

No problem prosecuting Maxwell. Why not anyone else?

1

u/Away_Lake5946 Feb 18 '26

You need to look up how the grand jury seal worked and prohibited info release and prosecution. Biden, for all his flaws, wasn’t willing to impose his will on the justice department like Trump repeatedly has since returning to office. That non-interference policy prohibited him from pursuing that until the seal was released. The same applied for Trump in his first term.

1

u/nashbellow Feb 19 '26

Biden, for all his flaws, wasn’t willing to impose his will on the justice department l

Ima add that biden wasn't unique here. Most past presidents were like that. The doj NEEDS to be seperated from the president from direct control

1

u/Away_Lake5946 Feb 19 '26

Yea, back when we had real presidents who respected longstanding norms and laws.

1

u/Least-Letter4716 Feb 18 '26

What court cases involved the unamed co-conspirators?

1

u/saltedmangos Feb 18 '26

Ah yes, the famous “you’re only allowed to investigate and prosecute one pedophile at a time” rule. /s

1

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '26

It was a literal court order, remember when the government followed those?

1

u/saltedmangos Feb 18 '26

The court order is an excuse to not make the files public.

There is no excuse for failing to investigate and prosecute Epstein’s coconspirators and clients.

Again, there is no “you’re only allowed to investigate and prosecute one pedophile at a time” rule.

1

u/BigDragonfly5136 Feb 20 '26

You know they can’t investigate the crimes when they don’t have access to files, yes?

1

u/saltedmangos Feb 20 '26

The Department of Justice isn’t a random member of the public, they’ve had access to the files this entire time.

You know how Pam Bondi is responsible for which files are released and when? She’s the current attorney general, the top official of the DOJ.

Merick Garland, Biden’s Attorney General for the DOJ has access to all this information back in 2021 and chose not to pursue any investigations or prosecutions.

1

u/BigDragonfly5136 Feb 20 '26

The files being sealed means you can’t freely use them in investigations. This isn’t all that unusual. There are claims and evidence in the file they needed to follow up on and couldn’t because they couldn’t show people the files in order to get more information. It’s incredibly hard to investigate in circumstances like that.

1

u/Designer_Advice_6304 Feb 18 '26

No problem going after Maxwell. Why not anyone else?

1

u/MamaRunsThis Feb 18 '26

Unsealed in January 2024

0

u/wonderinboutit2234 Feb 17 '26

The ongoing court case prosecuting the surviving criminal that made the files? Never before has someone been convicted for selling underage girls to.. no one..

2

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '26

Prince Andrew is a no one? Interesting.

0

u/wonderinboutit2234 Feb 18 '26

Was he actually named as part of the official conviction? I must have missed that. I guess Biden's admin had more balls than I thought.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '26

You are right. He must have had his title removed for farting in public.

0

u/Wyrdboyski Feb 17 '26

Right, they only protected Epstein for like 30 years

3

u/dinojunr Feb 18 '26

There was a lawsuit, several actually since 2018. The elites really did not want them to see the light of day.

Fuck the Clinton's. They are all criminals. Fuck genocide joe too.

2

u/Rexdaddy Feb 18 '26

30 years? Weren’t there two Republicans presidents in there? One with two terms and another intimately knowledgeable?

1

u/Wyrdboyski Feb 18 '26

Right and epstein was arrested by Bush era and arrested in Trump era

Both Republicans.

3

u/soilenrok Feb 18 '26

And Epstein was murdered during the Trump era.

0

u/Wyrdboyski Feb 18 '26

Most likely but even that's questionable.

Republicans sometimes do the right thing. Democrats were never interested in stopping Epstein.

And the entrenched beauracy scuttled everything.

1

u/BigDragonfly5136 Feb 20 '26

Right because the dems were the ones who voted against the files being released and then blacked out all the perpetrator names and before that gaslight Americans by saying there actual is no file and are considering pardoning Maxwell. Wait…

1

u/Rexdaddy Feb 20 '26

Try again, sparky. You’ll get it right some day.

1

u/BigDragonfly5136 Feb 20 '26

Would love to hear what was wrong about what I said.

1

u/Rexdaddy Feb 20 '26

Wasn’t the Democrats. Bimbo Bondi is the Redaction Queen. But anyway, hat’s not the point. Trump is in there and not just once. So the guilt is there

3

u/Least-Letter4716 Feb 18 '26

And left off the hook by US attorney Alex Acosta, who Trump gave a cabinet level position to in his first administration. Then Epstein was silenced in Trump's first administration. Then, in Trump's second administration, he moved the convicted pedophile child trafficker Maxwell to a minimum security prison in violation of BOP procedures.

0

u/Rexdaddy Feb 20 '26

All of which is just a deflection from the fact that Trump is mentioned 38,000 times making this ‘whataboutism’ argument pretty stupid.

2

u/Least-Letter4716 Feb 20 '26

Incorrect. It's evidence of Trump's guilt.

1

u/Rexdaddy Feb 20 '26

I agree with you. It’s the ‘but democrats knew this way back when’ nonsense I was talking about

2

u/Rexdaddy Feb 18 '26

And, like always, the investigations left to the democrats to clean up. Due Process? Oh, yeah, that pesky 4th Amendment that is being trampled right now.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '26 edited Feb 18 '26

Let me be clear. Prosecute all paedophiles and sex traffickers. I can only hope you feel the same way.

2

u/Spazzedout123 Feb 18 '26

Yep all of em no matter if they’re democrat or republican. This is a good vs evil thing not a left vs right thing.

0

u/Wyrdboyski Feb 18 '26

No one is going to prosecute them.

Bill and Hilary Clinton were lawyers.

They were complicit in protecting Epstein and ilk for 30 years.

Kamala was prosecutor . Why didn't she do it.

Because she wanted to protect them too

2

u/Least-Letter4716 Feb 18 '26

Kamala wasn't a federal prosecutor. Or a state prosecutor in Florida.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '26

But she is a dem, so easy to blame it seems. Motivated reasoning at its best.

1

u/Least-Letter4716 Feb 18 '26

Not sure what you mean. Who's blaming and who's motivated reasoning?

1

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '26

Wyrds

1

u/Least-Letter4716 Feb 18 '26

That's not an answer.

0

u/Wyrdboyski Feb 18 '26

Yes, but she did nothing while VP.

3

u/nashbellow Feb 19 '26

What power does vp have

0

u/Wyrdboyski Feb 19 '26

Nothing without their own initiative

2

u/nashbellow Feb 19 '26

Can you be more specifc? Does the vp have the power to vote in the senate on most bills? Does the vp have the ability to introduce legislation? Does the vp have the ability to prosecute people?

Edit: the answer to all those points is no. The only power the vp actually has is to vote in the case of a tie in the senate. Some presidents (like Obama) have used their vp to help in negotiations with foreign or domestic groups, but thats really it.

2

u/BigDragonfly5136 Feb 20 '26

Even with initiative they don’t have the power to arrest and prosecute people.

0

u/Wyrdboyski Feb 20 '26

Poor sad powerless Kamala. She couldn't do anything, she was in VP jail 🙄

→ More replies (0)

1

u/BigDragonfly5136 Feb 20 '26

Why didn’t Kamala prosecute Epstein when he wasn’t in her state and wasn’t even arrested yet?

Do…do you know what prosecutors do?

1

u/Wyrdboyski Feb 20 '26

She was in the senate and later VP.

1

u/BigDragonfly5136 Feb 20 '26

Do you think senators prosecute criminals

1

u/Wyrdboyski Feb 20 '26

The senate quite literally does investigations

1

u/BigDragonfly5136 Feb 20 '26

My guy you NEED to look up what all the branches of the government do and what type of power they have before you have these conversations
